You are not joking. I now have a path through the living room again. It's depressing. At least I could tal;k to a triffid - even if it wasn't well behaved. I could sell it for a fortune if I could stop it killing me for long enough.

You'd be amazed at the things I befriend. I should be going to bed. Not only didn't I get any sleep until 4am this morning, I have to leave for the airport (my turn for the parental taxi service) at 4am tomorrow.
I have potatoes boiling and must get going on food. I'd like a curry but Mum wont eat that and I can't be bothered doing seperate meals today.
Waiting for company to arrive. They're coming over from near Burnley and needless to say it's snowing there! Sue
Back to cooking. I'm not hungry as I've just eaten a whole bag of Butterkist. The others are though.

I think you are about to have your share of the snow, Meg, according to the weather forecast.

Seems to be a full-time job here keeping the birds supplied with food and water..........seven goldfinches today.

It's the first year we have had those in our garden. Must re-fill the bird-tables.

We need to try to clear some snow away so we can get out of the house. We have almost 12 inches of snow. It snowed all night and most of today. They say it's the worst for 30 years. All the schools are shut, the buses have stopped, Mark struggled into Manchester this morning on the train and was sent home because only 4 of them had made it, and the council are now running out of grit for the main roads! A good start to 2010. Sue
They said we'd get 2-4 inches of snow overnight. They have said that before and it hasn't come but the sky seems to be changing colour so I wouldn't be surprised.

Well we had snow, only about an inch but I'm not looking forward to the journey to work this morning.
At least you had more than we did, Nina. I think we'll catch up soon though. Dave may not be going away for 3 days at the weekend now. He just feels it a bit difficult to drive to North Wales. I should be downstairs playing but I'd rather be on here.
But have you come back? Phone for help if you're lost in the snow. What I should be doing is, yet again, food related. If we didn't eat, I wouldn't need to shop and they'd be no dirty dishes.
I'm with you there Meg - a never ending circle.
I should find my wellies and go and get bread and potatoes. Dave is definitely not going to even try and go to Wales tomorrrow.
