Getting Mum up - but she's still sleeping. I'm getting a bit worried so I may have to wake her up.
She was fine. There was just so much noise with the mechanic trying to repair Dave's car (and failing) that I was getting worried about her not waking up. I think it's with all 3 of her strokes happening overnight. What are you doing today? Pam should be back today - to heavy showers if the weather in the NW is similar to here. We have puddles!!
Glad your mum's ok Meg. Yes, it's dull with lots of heavy showers here. I've been playing put the washing on the line and bring it in, all day so I've given up now. Sue
I didn't even try. You just get so used to good weather, a coupld of days of showers wont hurt.
I should be sleeping but my brain won't listen when I tell it we are on US time now. Had a great time yesterday on a food tasting tour of Greenwich Village. Ate soo much. Today we are off to the tenement Museum and Lower East Side.

food tasting sound more up my street. Just put the sound track of 'Chicago' on and you'll be sound asleep in no time.

ps you aren't allowed to thump me.

My arms won't reach that far.
Should be packing a bag. We're going to Durham for a couple of days to visit daughter and partner and to meet his parents for the first time. :( Sue

Hope the meeting goes well. Have a good few days.

I should be relaxing but I'm all uptight. I think I must have had too much caffeine. At least I have to sit down when I'm on bj.

I had two really strong coffees yesterday evening. Bad move. At 4am I was still sitting up reading.

Next door is mowing his lawn again. I think it really only needs nail scissors. It rained two days on the trot and the brown grass has a green fuzz - and he's mowing it. Dave reckons that the grass not growing is one advantage of summer. He mows, I don't.

I've done the hedge, swept the path and tidied up the garden along its edge but it's too hot for me now, so I'm going to leave the grass just now.
