I noticed that. My dog has made a remarkable recovery, I know it's not permanent but he's gone from not being able to see or stand up to nearly what he qwas before. See, hope was the right thing to do. We didn't give up on him even tholugh people were telling us we had to.
That's good news Meg, hope it continues
The mini garden party on Sunday went well. It was for the kids and 4-14 yr old are probably easier than adults. Our grass doesn't really exist anymore but it was parched to begin with. I should be walking the dog. He knows i should be taking him out and I don't thinmk he'll let me ignore it much longer.

I've been on Darius' My Space listening to his songs

I do love Secret Song and Mercury Rising

I really must tear myself away from here and shower.

I've got the dentists soon :(

Lucky you.

Dane fell down stairs again yesterday. The trouble is, whenever he starts to feel better, he tries to join us upstairs, gets stuck and crashes down. He's splintered one of his toe nails and seems to hurt when he moves in certain ways. We've now barricaded the stairs. Makes getting up them far more difficult.

Should be gardening, but rain has stopped play.

Play ?? Darned hard work more like!

Dane is certainly a tryer, Meg, even if sometimes too trying.

It's been lovely and sunny here - abit hot though. It did rain last night though and they do say we'll get showers later. At least I've walked Dane and then Mum in sunshine. Now i should be having a bath as I'm out to lunch today. (My husband does say I'm out to lunch most days but he's just being nasty. I tell him I may not feed him if he doesn't behave)
It's dark, miserable and has not stopped raining yet, so I'm not inclined to do anything. Anyone want to swap houses? We must have had more than our fair share of rain this year. Sorry to hear about Dane's fall Meg. Sue
you need one of those child stair gates Meg
We#'ve fitted a clothes airer to stop him getting up. I'm sitting here wondering about taking him out. For the last hour or so we have had very fine rain, not really enough to bother with an umbrella but I don't know whether it'll get him wet.
Have been waiting for a plumber to come and give us a quote for a new boiler. He should have arrived at 4, cancelled until 5.30, and now has put it back till tomorrow at 12 o'clock. I suppose we should be grateful he telephoned to let us know. Sue

The plumber has just been. It's our third quote now and each one has come up with a different way of replacing this boiler with varying amounts of disruption and that's before you get to the huge differences in price for the same job! Completely confused. :???:

Going out to the shops. Sue

In our area there is a list of Trusted Traders........if your area has one would that help, Sue ?
