No idea. We'll try another builder next week.

We had to let Dane go yesterday so are still very upset. The fits were becoming almost continual and he was back to not being able to see or walk. It wasn't giving up on him, more the realisation that his life looked like being a very unpleasant experience for him and we'd be keeping him just because we couldn't bare to lose him. The vet said that the fits would just keep increasing until his heart gave in, so Dane lay on the table eating liver treats until he just fell asleep. Very sad. the house is empty without him.

Meg I'm so sorry. You know you've done the right thing but that doesn't stop it hurting. I still miss Cleo dreadfully. Sue
It's awful, isn't it? No nose on the back of your knee as you move around and no shadow following everything to do. I'll have to start talking to myself now as Dane's not there listening.
I'm so sorry Meg. Dane was a lovely dog and I know how much a part of your family he was. Your house will be emptier without him.
Thanks. Nina. It's amazing the difference one medium sized, brown dog made to the home.

I'm so sorry Meg......but at least you can console yourself in knowing Dane had some very happy years with you.

He could have gone anywhere from Battersea, but he was lucky to become one of your family. Treasure the

good memories.

I have no idea what i should be doing as the whole structure of my days has altered. Maybe I'll take Dave4 for a walk in the sunshine but he wont be pleased as it's now September, his book is due out in October and he hasn't finished it yet.

Having raised our curiosity, Meg, please tell us what kind of book, novel, technical etc. Hope Dave

meets his deadline.

I should be going for Mum's prescription so I'll be disappearing soon. I'll go round the farmer's market' on the way back.
I love farmers markets. We have found a lovely farm shop in Ramsbottom, but I get spoilt for choice and end up spending too much. Might go to the shops if it stops raining. We have had torrential rain here over the last few days with strong winds and flash floods! A perfect end to a perfect summer. Sue
Luckily, it's been dry here. The wedding (my neighbour who died last years son's) went very well. It was a lovely time and I hated having to leave early to get Mum and our 11 yr old to bed. I was glad to have had the chance to go though. The bride looked beautiful, the speeches made us laugh as her father told us how she had more or less told her partnewr they wwere getting married. The groom looked very proud. He still says they're not having children but I think that in a year or so he'll find he's mistaken.
Glad you had a good time at the wedding Meg.
Another family moving forwards after tragedy. Glad it was such a good day for you all.
Oops, just seen the time, Cooking in the kitchen demands my attention.
Shame it can't do ikt without our help. Traditional Sunday roast for us today. We still enjoy meat and 4 veg.
