I think I know how you feel Meg. I went through it all with my parents and it's so hard. You just feel that it's too much to cope with and things will never get sorted, but try to take each day at a time and things do sort themselves out eventually. Sue

The thought of trying to shoehorn anything else into our place is horrendous. Dave really will have to relocate some of his Dad's things so that Mum's fit in.
Keep going Meg. The trouble is you sometimes throw things out in the heat of the moment that afterwards you wish you'd kept. I'm afraid I did that. Should be writing a letter to an insurance company and I keep putting it off. Sue
we've got an insurance surveyor coming of Friday. Mum put in two claims a year ago after a bad storm and they rejected one and said that someone would be round in a few weeks for the other. Mum has been unwell since then and I finally got in touch with them. They'd got the wrong number for her and he just closed the claim. If they aren't going to allow t, I'll be really cross as the small path of damp now covers half a wall.
It's funny how they are so keen to take your money but when it comes to paying out they don't want to know. Having a carpet fitted tomorrow first thing so we're in the middle of moving furniture out of son's bedroom and that means the computer will be have to be moved as well. Still it will be worth it in the end. Sue
The thought of moving furniture at my house is unnerving. At least there's empty floor space at Mum's - only one of her to fill it. I should be packing boxes - or making up a bed as my daughter is on her way to join me for the weekend
Aww i hope you have a Lovely weekend together Meg (hug), are you going out anywhere? :)
nice for you to have a bit of support from your daughter Meg

Hope you have a good weekend with your daughter Meg. Somebody to help share the load.

I'm doing nothing else today. The carpet was laid this morning and we've been sorting out the room every since. I've never seen so many dvds and cds. My son could open a shop!! Sue

We can't really go out apart from to the shops. It's good to talk though. I should be supervising the washing up. It'd be quicker to do it myself.

We are still pulled out, juggling decorating (mainly Hubby) and gardening (mainly me). But we are trying to do everything

whilst the dry weather holds.

We should be packing up but can't at the moment. I don't need much of an excuse to stop.

Me neither....I think I'm just about finished except for the bits I'm using now.

I should be in bed!

'Night, Pam. Hope it all runs smoothly tomorrow.
Why is it when you start a job(sorting out the spare bedroom for decorating) suddenly you find that one thing leads to another and you are still sorting things out hours later? Sue
Hope the move goes well Pam
