Old wardrobe emptied, have rung the Salvation Army to collect it, and now I need to ring a plasterer. As I said before, why does a simple job suddenly become complicated? Sue
The builder didn't phone again. The trouble with being so far away is trying to make things happen.
I should be getting myself organised to take Claire to Cambridge but...

Should be pulling out all the bedding plants and replacing them with pansies and wallflowers, but quite apart

from the gale blowing, the bedding plants are still blooming in full glory, so I keep putting it off.

Such a shame to pull them up when they are still beautiful. I should be throwing out clothes to make more room but I'm not very good at it.

I took a load away the other day to the charity shop.

I should be making something to eat, I'm starving.

Should be wrapping up a birthday present for our nephew to put in the post tomorrow. Hope there aren't any strikes! Sue
I've watched some on terrestrial tv as my Mum really likes it. I always think that the judges are wrong and I'd hate to see one of my kids put themselves through all that.

Contestants need a lot of self-confidence and a burning desire to perform, as well as talent.

And a thick skin helps when Cowell is around.

If their skin is thick enough, they wont get through because the panel seem to like making people squirm

Just pulled out all the bedding plants in time. Now the rain has arrived the soil will be too sticky to work (I hope)

Should be going to the shops.

Waiting for a dentist to arrive. Ron agreed to take part in a dental survey which apparently thay do every 10 years. A man has already been round last Thursday and spent almost an hour asking him various questions and filling out forms, but now a dentist has to come round and look at his teeth to make sure he was telling the truth because the first man wasn't qualified to do that!! I can't help thinking what a waste of money and will the results be of use anyway? Sue

It's when they come and insist on taking his teeth for evidence. That's the trouble with surveys - the sting in the tale. Tell him not to worry, they'll probably give him an injection to lesson the pain.

I should be winding Sue and Ron up.
