Friday the 13th

I downloaded this... Messy, stupid, boring. Are words that spring to mind..... I actually found myself thinking "God, even Hostel is better than this junk...." :rolleyes: And, as usual, you just DONT GIVE A SH1T about the characters..... I mean, really, it got to the point where I just wished gruesome, horrid death on the whole lot of them, the more gruesome and horrid the better.....

 

I also downloaded a low-budget French horror called "Inside". Now, if you want something truly shocking, horrific and just plain fukkin' BRUTAL, then this is the film for you..... I can honestly say that "Inside" is one of the best horror films I've seen for a while, it takes the central idea of The Strangers (but, I should stress that Inside was made before The Strangers...), but does something far more horrid, brutal and genuinely frightening with it and as a result, is about a hundred times a better film for it... A heavily pregnant woman basically gets terrorised in her house by an utter psychotic b/itch (played by Beatrice Dalle) who makes Glenn Close from "Fatal Attraction" look the picture of perfectly sane rationality..... Throw in a lot of "disposables" (like a few French cops, the pregnant woman's boss and her mother...) that get dispatched in a variety of really horrific ways, and a seriously fukked up ending, and you have a HORROR film in capitals which just utterly pishes on rubbish like Friday 13th, Hostel, the Saw sequels, etc.....

 

I wouldn't advise watching "Inside" if you dont have a strong stomach, even I found it pretty hard going tbh, and I'm used to this sort of thing....

Oh as a horror fan I really like the sound of Inside Grimley. Must check that out. 7.1/10 on IMDB and great reviews. Wonder if it's on DVD.
