Posted December 14, 200816 yr Girls aloud have reportedly signed a three-album deal, quashing rumours of discord in the band. The details of the Polydor agreement were worked out at the Metropolitan Hotel in Mayfair last week, according to The Mirror. The group, who are confirmed to support Coldplay at Wembley next year, apparently told Nadine Coyle to either commit or quit after she distanced herself from their work. X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has further rubbished rumours of disharmony by asking her four bandmates for Christmas lunch.

December 14, 200816 yr sugababes cant last two more albums, so GA will be the only girls band in the UK hahahha What about the Saturdays?
December 14, 200816 yr sugababes cant last two more albums, so GA will be the only girls band in the UK hahahha Why not? :o If they do more My Love is Pink's, and Never Gonna Dance Again's, they'll be fine. The opening single sort of shot the whole Catfights era down for me. And yes, there's The Saturdays too :P
December 14, 200816 yr great news i wonder is that 2 studio album and a greatest hits?? I think that's what it'll be, volume 2 of The Sound of Girls Aloud
December 14, 200816 yr I honestly think the sugababes have had their day now because the music industry has changed and i think the success of the saturdays has proved that newcomers reign supreme at the moment. The sugababes fall into a big line of acts now who are considered "old" and dont excite people anymore. Girls aloud however have become very very big, i think GA in the chemistry days if released now, they would have had their day but they have so many things that gaurentee they stay on top now. They are 5 BIG celebrities and cheryl of course has the x-factor.

They have been one of the most consistant and biggest sellers of the last 10 years. I hardly think 1 flop album will end that. And id hardly say new acts like The Saturdays are reigning supreme. Other than 1 big single, they have hardly setting either chart alight. And how are Sugababes considered "old". Is it becuase for the first time GA have done better than them. Wow well done girls.

December 14, 200816 yr im not a huge sugababes fan but i think thieir cuttent album flopping will make them comeback with a big album and a big lead single next time it will give them a wake up call either that or they will split

I'm not joking, its not just about the latest album flopping, its a general feeling that i get. I just dont see them as being fresh anymore and i cant see them ever getting that back, they seem to have got old and their music has got old with them. They have no edge whatsoever. A few years ago, infact from when they started up until Easy, i completely understand why they were consistent because their spark had always been there from the start. But nar, my prediction is that the sugababes will be over after the next album. I'd like to be proved wrong but i just think things have changed too much and i think the public want to see new acts rather than old ones trying to come back.
December 15, 200816 yr Thanks god GA fans aren't as bitter as some SB fans, or DannyBoy's digression could have turned this thread into a battlefield  ;) *cough*

I really dont see how Sugababes are stale. After Easy they had such amazing songs as About you now, Change, Denial from another big selling album. yeah I agree that the new project has fallen apart becuase of a terrible first single but id hardly write then off becuase of it. I really do think they will come back with a new project and a killer first single like they have done in the past. Thanks god GA fans aren't as bitter as some SB fans, or DannyBoy's digression could have turned this thread into a battlefield  ;) *cough* Can I just state that im as much of a fan of GA as I am of Sugababes
December 15, 200816 yr ^^ if you think thats what will happen, fair enough and normally i would agree, acts shouldnt be written off for one flop album. But my opinion is that the sugababes have got to a stage now where they have been around for so long and no longer have any meaning really. Its hard to explain, my point is that i think they have lost so much popularity recently and i cant see them getting it back. The fact they have changed line ups so often hasnt helped but just recently, they seem to have lost all personality and edge. They arent as sexy as they used to be and actually look a lot less confident on stage than they used to. Its just my feeling that the public arent interested anymore or thats the impression i am getting. Its all reflected in this album, there is nothing wrong with catfights atall, there are some very good songs on it, girls proved pretty popular getting to no3 and no can do shows a completely different side to the album and yet, the album has still sold appalingly. I think the sugababes are in a similar position to the all saints now, previously a very big act but now not sure where they are going, decent lead singles but flop albums and following singles. Infact rock steady got to no3 like Girls and no can do looks set to flop like chick fit. Edited December 15, 200816 yr by Robintime11
December 15, 200816 yr All the sugababes really need is an image change and to have an amazing first single to launch an album. Girls was okay but there was nothing really that great about it. Like when I first heard it I liked it but it didnt really make me excited at all about the album. It wasn;t until i read the review that mentioned murder one and sunday rain that i actually felt that interest that one gets for hearing a new album. I really think they should just call it quits on C&S take a few months off, get back in the studio next spring, and really take their time with an album. Oh and if Keisha could realise that she's not the Beyonce of this group during that time, that would also help tons.
