Posted December 15, 200816 yr A fifth instalment in the Terminator series has entered development, Variety reports. Halcyon Company pair Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek, who own the movie rights to the sci-fi franchise, have revealed that they are working with Terminator Salvation director McG on a follow-up. They had planned to wait until the release of Salvation next summer before pressing ahead with another movie, but positive reaction from trailers and preview footage has led them to set a tentative release date for 2011. "We feel the time is now to start shaping the next part of this," said Kubicek, who envisions Salvation as the first film in a new Terminator trilogy. Christian Bale will return for the next movie as freedom fighter John Connor as part of his three-film agreement with Halcyon. Terminator Salvation arrives in cinemas on May 22, 2009. Going just a bit fast arent they... I say wait and see how the new one goes before predicting a sequel...

December 16, 200816 yr Terminator IS Arnie, it is ridiculous to continue the series without Schwarzenegger in it :manson: No James Cameron, no Arnie, waste of time BULL.... The Terminator TV show is managing perfectly well without Arnie... In the utterly cut-throat world of TV ratings where shows are routinely being cancelled after one series, the fact that Sarah Connor Chronicles has managed to survive is testament to the fact that it's well written and well made.... Terminator 3 was neither of these things, so it suffered, even with Arnie.... The Terminator TV show is vastly superior to the third film, which was sh!t..... And you fail utterly to realise that The Terminator has totally outgrown its need for one particular actor, it has been established even in the second film that there are different Terminator models and the "Arnie" model is an older, obsolete one..... Arnie is the ZX Spectrum, the newer models being more the "high end" PCs or Macs.... :P Oh, but then why am I not surprised by your attitude.. You dont seem to belive that Doctor Who can manage with anyone other than a white male playing the part of a regenerating, form-shifting alien......
