December 20, 200816 yr Author the Steps version is rather atrocious in my opinion too :heehee: Basshunter certainly improved it! Akon is alright when featuring on other people's music like The Sweet Escape and Forgive Me but songs like Lonely, Smack That, I Wanna Love You and Locked Up just make me want to throw up :heehee:
December 20, 200816 yr I know, how utterly random! for those unfamiliar with the Steps version, a video was made for it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8T6AD9BnaY Sharleen's album is  I must have bought about 50+ albums this year, so to go top 20 is an achievement! Oooh no I already knew the Steps version LOL I have that video they did where it shown videos of Love U Move & Too Weak To Resist, I think Claire made pasta on the video also, have you seen it

December 20, 200816 yr thank you, I was pleased with myself :D the video for Headhunted is possibly the best video I've seen all year :kink: Sorry for going off topic but what profession was your degree for? I think the description of this video sums it up: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh4d28CkBKk She's like a non-Latin Shakira  Actually i rather like this, its a lot better than when i first heard it. I've shortlisted it for my Xmas chart :heehee:.
December 20, 200816 yr Author Albums 15. Sash - The Best Of - Peaked at #1 for 1 week 2syiIGRsyvI Yes, I already have the original Sash! hits collection from 2000, but it was so great to see him back in the top ten of both charts, and this album was an unprecedented sales hit after the mega flop of the first collection. The German group masquerading as one man have always been one of my favourite dance acts, I could listen to classics such as Ecuador, Stay, Move Mania, Mysterious Times, Just Around The Hill, Raindrops and La Primavera all day long! 14. Mariah Carey - E=MC2 - Peaked at #1 for 1 week YtxCcvH_Afs A tad unfairly panned I think, I really like this although admittedly it doesn't match the stunning Emancipation of Mimi from 2005. Some great 'club bangers' and some lovely ballads made for a varied listen, and the first single, Touch My Body, is still an excellent single...The follow up three singles were all good but perhaps denying Migrate the chance to be a single was not the wisest of career choices for the star. 13. Take That - The Circus - Peaked at #1 for 4 weeks u7ErUNI8TsI I was apprehensive about how good this would be and was concerned that it wouldn't be able to match the brilliance of its predecessor Beautiful World, which made my top 20 end of year chart in both 2006 and 2007. However, this album is an opus, consisting of brilliant Gary Barlow led ballads, Mark Owen uptempo stormers and a much larger vocal input from both Howard Donald and Jason Orange, the former excelling on the excellent album closer Here. Up All Night screams second single and if I'm being completely honest, the weakest track on here is in fact the single, Greatest Day, which I would still give a good 8/10! 12. Cascada - Perfect Day - Peaked at #1 for 4 weeks vYQm9mEbNy8 Starting off my year, and appearing in the end of year top 20 for the second year in a row is German dance group Cascada's infectious second album Perfect Day. Not straying from the successful formula of the first album, this was another 300k+ seller for the group in the UK and covers aside, it's some of the original songs that kept my interest high in this album such as Runaway, and the excellent title track Perfect Day. 11. Various Artists - Melodifestivalen 2008 - Peaked at #1 for 2 weeks iYkmfHC49jA Compilation albums rarely qualify for my end of year chart due to me usually liking only a proportional amount of the tracks. Although this is true with Melodifestivalen 2008, the official album for the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest entry selection, the standout tracks really stand out and I've been listening to this album all year. When the UK is faced with picking the best of a terrible bunch, the Swedes were spoilt for choice with excellent songs from Charlotte Perrelli, Sanna Nielsen, Sibel, BWO, Amy Diamond, Ola, Carola & Andreas Johnson, Caracola, Linda Bengtzing, Suzzie Tapper and Just A Minute, a fantastic Mika tribue from brothers Rongedal!

I've shortlisted it for my Xmas chart :heehee:. it was in media studies! not that I've been able to get a media job with it, there seems to be nothing available :( the video is very Shakira like towards the end, but the whole concept of 'Headhunting' in the middle of a rocky mountain range is hilarious :heehee: I'm glad it's grown on you now, I'd love to see it in your chart :o

Sash!'s return gives him No.28 with the fantastic new version of Encore Une Fois, Raindrops, whilst one of the UK's finer No.1's of 2008, Dance Wiv Me by Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris, comes in at No.27!!! Alphabeat make their first but not last appearance with the perfect pop song, Boyfriend, whilst The Killers scored their first hit ever in my chart with the stunning Human, No.25 here...Finishing with a quartet of weekly chart toppers, Kelly Rowland began the year in style with a fantastic Freemasons remix of Work, Leona Lewis' stunning version of Run ends up at No.23 despite only spending 6 weeks on the weekly chart so far, September's Cry For You was reactivated for the UK and comes 22nd here and Mariah Carey's tongue in cheek but excellent comeback single, Touch My Body, creeps up to No.21!!!
