Kristina is going to win let's face it, she's latvia and Ireland always gives Latvia the 12 and we'll be doing the same tonight unfortunatly. :(

The only chance Laura might have is if she is rated highly by the judges and Kristina is rated lowly, so let's all hope Kristina's performance is a snores fest.

The juries are made up of music professionals and Eurovision fans, so I think they'll like Laura as long as the performance is good.

Fingers crossed! ^_^

Lol. I like the song, but I'd prefer Laura to go to Moscow.

I just hope this isn't a repeat of Eurosong 2008 where the best person comes second. >.<

They're kind of oldschool though. I'm quite sure it will be Lee or Kristina. Something to look at, or something to listen to...

Why does everybody assume whenever juries are mentioned in any context of Eurovision that they will be the polar opposite of the televoters? These juries are made up of record company execs who will obviously look for something contemporary, and Eurovision experts, people who know what does well at Eurovision.

If any part of the voting is going to be "old school" it will be the televoters. The target audience of The Late Late Show is anything but young and trendy.

Ah yes but Ireland can't vote for itself at Eurovision remember.

There are still lots more Irish people in Ireland than Latvian people lol

Yes but Latvians only have one song to vote for while Irelands vote will be split between 5 different songs.

I'd love to think the Latvian people in Ireland wouldn't just vote for Kristina because she's Latvian but I really doubt they'll vote for anything else -_- (maybe the odd person will)

If I was in Latvia and thier was an irish singer in the national final I wouldn't vote for it if I didn't like it but maybe that's just me. :(

This probably sounds wrong but I'm finding it hard to imagine Ireland actually sending Laura, we'd never make such a good decision. :nocheer:

I know I know....

I'm just hopelessly trying to stay positive :(

I know but I don't know what will happen, it's all down to the performances tonight......Laura is going to have to absolutly kill it on stage (in the good way :P)

I'm going to vote as many times as I can for Laura but I don't know if she can beat Kristina :/

If we end up picking Johnny Brady though I'm leaving the country, anything but that song :puke2:

Edit: On the bright side though I showed all six songs to my mum (who watchs the late late show alot) and she prefers Out of Control! :D

Because of the drastic modernisation of the ESC since televoting came into force? :P

Yes but I believe they couldn't get a jury from 1997 for tonight so they've brought in juries from 2009....

ESCToday Poll:

* Laura-Jayne Hunter - Out of control (36.5 %)

* Sinead Mulvey & Black Daisy - Et cetera (30.4 %)

* Kristina Zaharova - I wish I could pretend (16.5 %)

* Lee Bradshaw - So what (8.7 %)

* M.N.A - Flying (5.2 %)

* Johnny Brady - Amazing (2.6 %)

If that reflects televoting (which it probably won't), then it's a good boost for Laura-Jayne.

I'll be crossing my fingers, toes, arms and anything else I have for Laura tonight!!!

I just hope she can make it through, I saw a clip on the news of her singing and it's looking good....she just needs to blow everyone away now :D

Laura-Jayne Hunter to Moscow!! :cheer:

and the fact that the very old sounding Even If ranked highly amongst the jury votes that were leaked last year -_-

Was that not the San Marino votes?

Wasn't that just a protest against eastern block voting? I heard it was........

I thought some other jury votes leaked and had UK near the top...can't remember which countries though

Watching it now. Hang on, can we vote? There seem to be UK style numbers for NI voters. Will they work in England?

TBH it doesn't matter though, cos my BF wants to watch Idol...

They could work, I'm not too sure!

Laura's performance was awesome! The dancers need to be kicked off, but it was :heart: :heart: :heart:

Edit: Lee can't sing live. I think we don't need to worry about him...

Stupid Juries! They wouldn't know a good song if it slapped them in the face! :angry:

Imagine the points they gave out of Control, it's a disgrace!

I'm really worried for Irelands chances now......et cetera is a great song but I'm not sure how it will fare :nocheer:

Good song, but I think too rock for Eurovision, not sure it will qualify. Also I didn't see the live performance though...

Yes the final placings were:

1st. Et cetera

2nd. I wish I could pretend

3rd. Out of Control

4th. Flying

5th. So what

6th. Amazing

It was nearly a clean sweep for et cetera with the juries, giving them 10, 10, 10 and 8 points. It topped the public vote too giving them 40 points aswell

Out of control just got 1's and 2's from the juries :( but came second in the televote
