I've no idea why this isn't a single in America, while the mediocre avril reject I Will Be is. It's a nice change seeing Leona do a more uptempo song.
January 2, 200916 yr Author 24. BoA - Eat You Up Taken from: ?? 12 Weeks - (10-5-7-3-2-[1]-6-7-5-13-13-15) Korean popstar BoA launched a crossover attempt in 2008 with the catchy Eat You Up. While the single hasn't exactly had much impact on the American charts it sure has on my personal chart. It's such an infectious song and I hope BoA can make her crossover a success in the states. Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part Taken from: Doll Domination 14 Weeks - ([6]-7-9-11-17-8-12-[6]-9-13-14-17-17-17) Despite the Pussycat Doll's disappointing album, their singles for the most part have not let down. Even though I find lead singer Nicole one of the most annoying people ever I can't deny that I Hate This Part is a good song.

No Angels - Disappear Taken from: Destiny: Reloaded 16 Weeks - (27-5-[2]-3-3-4-6-8-13-11-19-19-28-30-38-40) Trannylicious German girl group No Angels really struck a chord in me with their song Disappear. It certainly deserved to do well in Eurovision. It's simply a really good emotional pop song.

Kylie Minogue - In My Arms Taken from: X 17 Weeks - (7-8-8-11-16-16-21-[5]-[5]-6-12-14-17-22-29-36-35) After releasing one of the best albums of 2007, Kylie kept delivering hits in 2008. In My Arms if just pop perfection. IMO Kylie is the queen of pop music. Edited January 2, 200916 yr by shakilover
January 2, 200916 yr Author 20. The Saturdays - Up Taken from: Chasing Lights 17 Weeks - (2-[1]-[1]-2-3-3-4-3-9-11-22-27-37-39-39-39-39) 2008 was definitly a year of girl groups and one of the most exciting moments was being introduced to The Saturdays. Up was stuck in my head for weeks. It's soo catchy and fun. I am expecting a lot from them this year so I hope they don't disappoint.

It made the chart because I kept on listening to it months and months after it was released. For me Sexy! No No No is one of Girls Aloud's most unique and explosive song.
January 2, 200916 yr Author 18. Kylie Minogue - Wow Taken from: X 24 Weeks - [4]-6-8-10-13-23-23-20-26-x-15-17-22-20-15-13-19-25-31-32-36) This is Kylie's best single from X. This song and the whole X project really should have been such a bigger success than it actually was. Here's hoping Kylie can reconquer the world in 2009. Edited January 2, 200916 yr by shakilover

Sugababes - Girls Taken from: catfights & spotlights 19 Weeks - ([1]-2-3-3-4-4-4-2-6-12-20-32-32-35-35-37-36-36-37) As much as I like to hate on the sugababes I have to admit that Girls is a great song. It's not their best song but it is great. One of my favorite memories of 2008 was driving down San Francisco with one of my best friends singing along to Girls on the radio at the top of our lungs.
January 2, 200916 yr Author 16. Mariah Carey - Touch My Body Taken from: E=MC2 16 Weeks - (13-4-6-11-4-3-8-[1]-4-6-10-12-17-24-39-39) Touch My Body is probably the only thing from Mariah's latest album that went wrong. Things seemed better than ever when it became her 18th US number one, Then it went straight to hell with her horrible single choices. Nonetheless Touch My Body remains one of the catchiest songs of the year. We can only hope that Mimi can recover from this trainwreck (or better yet have another amazing mental breakdown lol).

Despite her failed American crossover attempt I fell in love with this song. It's just such a beautiful love song.
January 2, 200916 yr Author 14. Girls Aloud - The Loving Kind Taken from: Out of Control 7 Weeks - (12-3-2-[1]-[1]-[1]-[1]) My love for Girls Aloud has only grown since I discovered them a few years back. The Loving Kind is one of their best songs ever. The whole song is beautiful but it is really Nicola and Kimberley's parts that make the song for me. I hope Girls Aloud can keep making music this good for another 4 or 5 years!
January 2, 200916 yr Author 13. Heidi Montag - Fashion Taken from: ?? 17 Weeks - (3-3-2-[1]-[1]-5-4-4-8-19-22-23-27-30-33-33-33) UV1S7xelM9Q I'm sorry! But I LOVE Heidi Montag! The flawless beauty, intellectual goddess has shared her gift of music in 2008. 4 of her songs made my top 100. But Fashion is by far the best thing she's "sung". I am convinced that Heidi may very well be the second coming.

Strike The Match was only slightly disappointing, but its hard to top something as fierce as Hot Summer. While Monrose probably could have released a better single. Strike the Match is still a great pop song.
January 2, 200916 yr Author 11. Janet Jackson - Feedback Taken from: Discipline 17 Weeks - (2-2-3-[1]-2-4-6-2-4-8-12-17-18-25-37-38-40) "Light skin, dark skin, my Asian persuasion" so begins what has been one of my favorite Janet eras in a long time. The album might not have been a huge hit, but Janet really brought great music this year. Feedback is just so different, catchy, and sexy.
