The five-piece - formed on TV talent show Pop Stars: The Rivals in 2002 - beat the Spice Girls into second place. They have racked up 19 consecutive top 10 singles and four No1s in Britain in the past six years. The Spice Girls' second place came in the year they staged a hugely successful reunion tour. The fans who voted on online research site www.OnePoll.com put the legendary Supremes in third place followed by fellow Americans The Bangles. Fifth place went to another British act, Sugababes and sixth to the American group The Pus.sycat Dolls.
