Posted June 13, 200619 yr The duet featured on the tracklistings for 'The Big Bang' up until less than a month before the album's release. Despite Mariah's massive comeback, and the huge success of the last Busta/Mariah track, the track is no longer featured on the tracklistings posted on HMV, Amazon UK or Amazon US. Does anyone know what happened here? I can't find any answers.
June 13, 200619 yr No wonder all of the tracks were up for download apart from that one. Hmmm perhaps either the song wasn't good enough to make the album OR they're keeping it aside for a re-release incase the album flops?

Her name should have helped the album's profile. Biggest-selling album of the year in America and all. It does seem odd - perhaps HMV had a bad source for the tracklisting?

June 14, 200619 yr After the last collaboration, I thought another song featuring Mariah would have helped Busta.
June 14, 200619 yr After the last collaboration, I thought another song featuring Mariah would have helped Busta. Well the last one hardly helped Mariah. -_-
June 15, 200619 yr Yeh it would have helped the album, I would have bought it if the track was on it :P
June 16, 200619 yr I was looking at it yesterday whilst on my weekly purchasing outing and nope it was definately not on. -_-
June 16, 200619 yr Author I was looking at it yesterday whilst on my weekly purchasing outing and nope it was definately not on. -_- That's a shame. I was looking forward to hearing it. We'll have to keep our eyes peeled for it on future Busta singles. It could end up as a B-side or bonus track later on in the year.

June 16, 200619 yr Well the last one hardly helped Mariah. -_- Didn't it? Her career was down the toilet in the UK. 'Boy' had missed the top 10, and Charmbracelet had flopped. IKWYW built up her profile here again and gave her her first top 3 hit in years! I'd say it helped!

IKWYW built up her profile here again and gave her her first top 3 hit in years! I'd say it helped! I agree with you mostly. It was her biggest hit in years and it certainly helped 'It's Like That' on its way to getting airplay that Mariah's last single was a hit. But it was another duet. Mariah's only major hits in the 00s had been duets: Westlife and Busta. She was not wearing much in the video and her voice was shot to $h!t: 'I Know What You Want' only fuelled the belief that Mariah the voice and Mariah the hitmaker were long dead. Mariah the ho and Mariah the has-been were the only thing in the public eye at that time. Her image, if not her chart career, was still down the toilet after her song with Busta. June 16, 200619 yr Granted it gave her her first hit in a while, but it wasn't 'her' hit, it was Busta's, and despite stuffing it on a re-release of Charmbracelet, the album still sold poorly. -_-
June 19, 200619 yr Author Granted it gave her her first hit in a while, but it wasn't 'her' hit, it was Busta's, and despite stuffing it on a re-release of Charmbracelet, the album still sold poorly. -_- That re-release was dreadful. They lifted 'I Know What You Want' straight from the Busta album leaving on a skit where gangsters swear and brawl with one another. The children who bought the album for 'Through The Rain' lost their innocence forever!

June 20, 200619 yr Agree, the re-release was probably expensive too, because it was limited edition I think?
