Posted June 13, 200619 yr There was a Britney special on Galaxy FM in the UK. They had a segment, "Things you didn't know about Britney." Here are some of the things they listed: 1. Britney's original stage name was going to be Britney Jean until Jive said it wasn't commercial enough 2. Her album "Britney" was an attempt to drop her surname so that from then on she would only be known as "Britney", but with the increasing fame of actress Brittany Murphy this was abandoned 3. Britney's 2001 comeback single was originally meant to be a track called "Before The Goodbye", and had been shipped to radio stations in July 2001, but was recalled when I'm A Slave 4 U was recorded 4. Her 2003 album "In The Zone" went by the names of "Outrageous" and "The B Zone" before the final name was announced ("Get In the Zone" was announced as the final name, then shortenned later). 5. Britney started working on a follow up album to "In The Zone" early in 2004, and recorded several songs for it, including My Prerogative, but when she injured her leg, the forthcoming release was changed to that of a greatest hits album, upon which My Prerogative and Do Somethin' appeared. 6. Britney is adamant that her 2007 comeback album must be entirely written by her, though she is collaborating with different writers 7. The entire track listing of "In The Zone" had to be changed two months before the album was released, as Britney had tried a different approach by giving the songs inappropriate names in comparison to their lyrics: 01.
