Posted January 1, 200916 yr From enya.com: Enya on New Year's Eve. Enya will perform two songs on the renowned Japanese television programme - 'Kohaku'. Enya's appearance will be broadcast via satellite from Ireland to Japan and will be seen by some 45 million viewers. Since it was first shown 50 years ago, 'Kohaku' has traditionally featured only Japanese artists. This is the first time in the programme's history that a foreign artist has been invited to perform on the show. 'I am very honoured that I have been invited to appear on 'Kohaku'' said Enya 'and I'm very grateful to the NHK team for this great opportunity'. agqK_KoQXsc

January 4, 200916 yr Author They love her in Japan don't they? :o I mean like worship her on a bizarre scale! Something like that... I wouldn't say the USA needs to "worship" her, but to at least give her the promotion, TV, and radio time she deserves.
January 4, 200916 yr Yeah... although a lot of that is just down to Warner being $h!t at promoting their artists...
January 5, 200916 yr Author I really dislike Warner. :puke2: I read somewhere that "Kohaku" means Red and White...
January 5, 200916 yr According to the "The Mirror" hundereds of fans turned up at Castle Leslie on "New Years Eve" hoping to see Eithne. If it's true that must have been a big surprise for her. Edited January 5, 200916 yr by Clare
