Posted January 1, 200916 yr Well we have the circus now for over a month so i have included in faveourite album,i put the 2 greatest hits in as 1 as they are basically the same apart from 1 track and i just put in a combined version of beautiful world as its pointless putting in both,,please give a few comments when selecting your faveourite album
January 1, 200916 yr Author well tough call this as i geunuinly like some of the old albums,also at the moment im loving the circus but im not sure what i will think of it say in a years time as for me thats when you know if you really like an album or not if you still enjoy it months or years after release u know ur onto a good one
January 2, 200916 yr I went for The Circus because its different for them. Apart from one or two songs on it that I will never like and still skip the ones that I do listen to far outweigh its faults. Beautiful World however, I now don't skip any of them (despite thinking at one point I would never like Mancunian Way - its now one of my favourites). Having said that, the diversity on The Circus is its draw factor for me. I wish there were a couple more 'fun' tracks on there like She Said - yes I know that Mark does UAN and HUAL which are good, jiggy fun numbers ... but I'd like to see Gary do more fun stuff instead of the ballards he's forever associated with. However .... if we had to judge an album by just one single on it ... then Beautiful World is still tops for the gorgeous Patience - still their best 'second time' song. Norma
January 2, 200916 yr I chose Beautiful World (Deluxe version). I love The Circus, but after thinking long and hard I think I like the songs Mark did on Beautiful World better than the ones he did on The Circus. (I'm a fan of Mark's solo stuff) Unlike most other fans I love What You Believe In. I also really like We All Fall Down. And for some unapparent reason I have completely fallen for Ain't No Sense In Love. It might all be different after a couple of months, but this is how I feel about the albums at the moment.
January 2, 200916 yr Author i agree if we were to judge the album by lead single beayutiful world is by far ahead of the circus but at the moment im loving the circus and im loving marks songs on it and like you joi c i love markls solo material just a shame it didnt so as well as it should have but for now my vote is going to the circus

I love What You Believe - I thought it was far better than Hold On (which most Mark fans seem to love more). Its funny you should say for some strange reason you've fallen for Ain't No Sense In Love - as I adore that one (it took a while). I'm surprised that I like it as much as I do as it is very C&W! January 2, 200916 yr Author for me i think ti need another month with the circus as i love it but i know after another month i will feel the album more and more
January 2, 200916 yr Author again its great seeing the old albums get votes as personnally i think they were great album although nobody else is still my least fave and was back at that time also
