Rihanna, Mariah, Alphabeat, Britney, Sugababes and Jordin Sparks all have entries much higher up...

OneRepublic are so low Andre :( This saddens me.

Janet Jackson - Feedback 23. Britney Spears - Piece Of Me 22. Alphabeat – Boyfriend 21. Christina Aguilera – Keeps Gettin’ Better + September is not only the highest non-Top 5 hit, she's also the longest runner EVER on my chart with more than 40 weeks. 'Feedback' would've done infinitely better if it had airplay I feel, although it still did well. Also, Alexandra Burke makes it to #26 after just 2 weeks. The Top 20 consists of...5 American solo females.2 American girlbands.2 British girlbands.1 American duet.1 American/British duet.1 British duet. 1 British solo female. 1 Australian solo female. 1 American solo male.14 of the following songs reached the UK Top 10.12 reached the UK Top 5.6 reached #1. Yes, my music taste really IS that gay and that mainstream.
January 3, 200916 yr Author 20. Madonna & Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes SALES OF 300K FROM HERE 9QcbUjTg0pE #1 for 2 weeks I didn’t fully appreciate this song until it became something of a theme when my friend came to visit me at uni. I liked it sooooo much more than ‘Give It 2 Me’ but for some reason the latter has beaten it in my Year End Chart. Odd. 1 more song to come from Madgey. 19. Mariah Carey – I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time ruyKqhSidyw #1 for 1 week Somewhat of a theme to my summer working back at home, this was Mariah’s third #1 on my chart. 1 more song to come.
January 3, 200916 yr Author 18. Katy Perry - Hot N Cold + y-LhyAVzDBI #1 for 1 week *debut* I heard this around the time I heard ‘I Kissed A Girl’ for the first time and I always loved it. It’s still in my Top 10 after 11 weeks. 1 more song to come for Ms Perry (I wonder what it could be?! :drama: ) 17. Sugababes – Denial Q4vJ8ZdmIvA #1 for 2 weeks *debut* I loved this back at the beginning of last year. Ever since this song they’ve gone right down hill for me, and this looks like it could be their last #1 for quite a while. Shame as they’re one of my favourite acts.

So many Britney's songs!
January 5, 200916 yr Author 16. Will.I.Am ft. Cheryl Cole - Heartbreaker Kj5rXDN4EJQ #1 for 2 weeks I didn’t like this song for an age, but sure enough it grew and it did bloody well in my chart too. And it’s NOT just because Cheryl is in it/sings some of it – although granted her bit is my favourite *hides* 15. Dizzee Rascal ft. Calvin Harris & Chrome – Dance Wiv Me c2MiyZx8MTY #1 for 1 week Dizzee’s first (and only) hit on my chart, and Calvin’s third (and biggest). Loooooooove this song, especially amazing when drunk and the video is oh-so-easy to imitate.
January 5, 200916 yr Author 14. Lady GaGa - Just Dance + D06CihM-YYg #1 for 1 week I LOVED this song back in the summer when I first heard it. It’s recharted recently due to its release in the UK (at last) but is a bit old pour moi now. 13. Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up + TcEZrEPDV9k Peaked at #2 Stuck behind Katy Perry with ‘I Kissed A Girl’, ‘When I Grow Up’ is Pussycat Dolls’ biggest hit on my chart by far, the next biggest being ‘I Hate This Part’ (as of this week). They hold the record for most #2s on my chart. This song is <3
January 5, 200916 yr Author 12. Ne-Yo - Closer xLWKwORtK_g Peaked at #3 ‘Closer’ spent a massive amount of weeks in my Top 10 and is the highest non-Top 2 hit. Ne-Yo is the most successful male artist of 2008 for me (which is strange because I didn’t really like him before), and I still lurvveee this song. He is also the highest male in the countdown - it's all oestrogen from here on. 11. Mariah Carey - Bye Bye b0AM-eZeqpQ #1 for 1 week Before 2008 I never really liked Mariah a lot tbh, wasn’t fussed. But for some reason E=MC2 (despite flopping elsewhere) did amazingly on my chart. This was Mariah’s 2nd #1 of 3 and her biggest hit to date. I’ve sort of forgotten why I liked this so much, perhaps it was one of those “in the moment” type things.
January 5, 200916 yr Author The Top 10 includes :o 3 American female solo artists. 1 Australian female solo artist. 1 American girlband. 1 British girlband. 1 British female solo artist. And (despite my general soppiness) only TWO ballads :o
January 5, 200916 yr Andre! :yahoo: Taking your time aren't you? Some of us have finished our countdown :P Here's what I like: 35. Alphabeat - Fascination 34. Leona Lewis – Forgive Me + 33. Natasha Bedingfield - Pocketful Of Sunshine 32. Kelly Rowland - Work 31. Kylie Minogue - In My Arms 30. Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air 29. Rihanna – Disturbia 28. September - Cry For You 27. Pink – So What + 26. Alexandra Burke – Hallelujah + 25. Girls Aloud - The Loving Kind + 24. Janet Jackson - Feedback 23. Britney Spears - Piece Of Me 22. Alphabeat – Boyfriend 21. Christina Aguilera – Keeps Gettin’ Better + 20. Madonna & Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes SALES OF 300K FROM HERE 19. Mariah Carey - I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time 18. Katy Perry - Hot N Cold + 17. Sugababes - Denial 16. Will.i.Am ft. Cheryl Cole - Heartbreaker 15. Dizzee Rascal ft. Calvin Harris & Chrome - Dance Wiv Me 14. Lady GaGa - Just Dance 13. Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up 12. Ne-Yo - Closer 11. Mariah Carey - Bye Bye Oh look at that, all of them - identical music taste twins. Gotta say that Dizzee Rascal song has really grown on me. Hated it when it first came out.
January 6, 200916 yr Author  Thanks Perry :P Tis freakay how similar our music taste is. I'm going to do 5 of the Top 10 now. I hope that pleases sir?
January 6, 200916 yr Author 10. Britney Spears - Break The Ice 4DdCFczrodc Peaked at #2 The highest non-#1 and the 6th of 7 Britney songs in my countdown. Loooooooove this so much, I’m not sure how it ranks compared to her older stuff but I bummed this enough last year for it to make Top 10 on me countdown like.
January 6, 200916 yr Author 9. Danity Kane - Damaged hhKF4qYxhiY #1 for 2 weeks Mikal Wikal helped me discover this band, who actually only have 2 songs that I like but this one is <3 <3 <3 It went Top 10 in the US I do believe and it did so well in my chart that it’s the ninth biggest song of 2008 pour moi :o I think they’ll remain one hit-wonders though.
January 6, 200916 yr Author 8. Kylie Minogue – Wow MmYGVcWSGlU #1 for 2 weeks After ‘2 Hearts’ peaked at a disappointing #6, ‘Wow’ saved the Kylie day by jumping 22-1 – the biggest ever jump to #1 ever (ever). It was followed by two further Top 20 hits making Kylie (along with the rest of this Top 10 really) among 2008’s biggest stars :o
January 6, 200916 yr Author 7. Madonna - Give It 2 Me mOi4fav_qbI #1 for 1 week Seemingly doomed to peak at #5, ‘Give It 2 Me’ leaped to the top of me chart after my holiday. Apparently Italy bums the Madge, and I mean A LOT. Something of a theme of my summer and quite possibly my best holiday to date.
