To be honest ... I think that's why I want Rob's comeback to be mega. Fame is the only thing that he loves ... if he doesn't have fame ... he has nothing. And I hate to see a kid with nothing. The others know that when it ends ... they've still got people who genuinely love them - real flesh and blood people - not fans.

i know im so biased here but there were and are so many times robbie doesnt apprecaite his fame he moans and moans about it,everytime i heard him moan i was like well why dont you just give it up you have enough money to live the rest of your life in comfort i know robbie isnt the only one who moans abbout fane but i would say the same to the rest of them

*Updates*

New sales and peaks for 'The circus' : #25 Sweden, #32 Italy and #38 Norway.

Thanks Jur - you'd already included them in your original post.

Anyway ... a bit of (well actually a huge) disappointment in Europe, even the German sales are dire considering Germany has been quite amenable to Take That in the past.

Whatever, I suppose it is proof for them that they need only concentrate on UK and Ireland from now on. It probably throws out of the window any intentions of doing a European tour (even on a tiny scale). As the title of the tour is The Circus ... its pretty pointless taking it to countries where the accumulated sales of that album are less than 100,000.

You're welcome :D

But I didn't add those positions before as the album just charted in Sweden en Norway this week, and I missed the Italian peak before ;)

And the album is idd underpeforming in most European countries. Promo has been zero and the 'Greatest day' wasn't the strongest lead single. Beautiful world did a lot better because 'Patience' was quite a big hit in some countries, while 'The greatest day' only did bussines in the UK and Ireland.

Silly me! I've just spotted the 'edited' bit! My eyes aren't what they used to be!

I actually hope they do release Up All Night in Germany and a couple of other European countries too as its still not too late for an album boost. Although Greatest Day was a bad idea for a first single ... I'd still rather they held something good back for the second one ... as they have done with UAN.

Thanks again Jur!

Quoted instead of edited. I'm always doing that lately!

What I meant to say was the if they don't do any promotion outside the UK then they really can't expect any success at all. I'm surprised those peaks you (Jur) added for Sweden, Norway and Italy are as high as they are given the 'no-promo'.

the circus chartrun in germany:

51/2008 - 14

52/2008 - 31

53/2008 - 31

01/2009 - 30

02/2009 - 33

03/2009 - 51

The Circus will end up with 100,000 and gold in germany, they have now sold at least 50,000 copies.. so far

Beautiful world was certified platinum for having sold 200,000 copies.. they really need to visit germany and perform on shows.. in 2006 they were everywhere in germany..

greatest day wasn't really a good single choice there are somuch better songs on this album

well for an album getting no promo in germany it has done quite well

number 6 in the uk this week which is good i exopected it to be number 8 or 9

According to a poster on TTTV - The Circus charted in Greece at 13. Not too bad then, as you say, for an album with no promotion.

Norma

its #15 this week in UK.. only 7 weeks inside the top 10.. i hope this album breaks 2.000.000, btw beautiful world is still charting (high)

It'll drop for a few more weeks yet but it should rise quite prominently after they perform at The Brits. Plus ... they're going to be on TV a lot over the next few weeks and the new video for UAN is going to be on TV from next week. There's a one-hour special on Channel 5 on 4th February and there's all the publicity surrounding the Comic Relief thing, which will benefit GA & Alesha Dixon too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new single goes to number one too! So all-in-all, with the tour in the summer ... the album should easily have shifted over 2 million copies by Christmas 2009.

Norma

And also ... if all goes well ... sales of BW should keep rising even further. Would be great if it could reach 3 million UK sales ... it isn't out of the question.

Edited by Norma_Snockers

3 million is definitly not out of the question for beautifl world and it has a great chance of achieving that...and the circus will plague the top 10 for many weeks yet over time as there is such much promotion coming up in so many different forms that the album will easily pass 2 million by the end of year and if anything i think it could be well near 2.5 million by december 31st
