After topping the UK chart twice, Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden find themselves on the dancefloor chart at number 8 with "Bonkers". Dizzee Rascal appeared in the top 10 last year were Calvin Harris assisted them in "Dance Wiv Me" and made it to number 5.

 

Kid Cudi climbs back up a notch to number 3 with "Day ´N` Nite" and this song has spent 27 weeks in the top 10 now meaning that its presence in the chart next week will mean the second longest chart survival in the top 10. The same position applies already for the number of collected points so far; 234 points to date.

Last time we heard from the electronic dance music act Nicholas Bracegirdle better known as Chicane was his colaboration with Natasha Bedingfield last year in "Bruised Water" peaking at number 6 in the top 10. He made a top 10 hit in 1999 with "Saltwater" together with Máire Brennan from Clannad. One of his best efforts on the dfc dates back to 2000 when Bryan Adams sang for him in "Don`t Give Up" and topped the chart for a couple of weeks. Another one of his hits is "Love On The Run" from 2003 where Peter Cunnah sang for him and the song made it to number 2 on the top 20. Now he is back and creeps into the countdown at number 10 with "Poppiholla".

After placing "I Found U" at number 1 for 1 week in 2007 and then placing the 17-week run for "What A Wonderful World" at number 3 for several weeks last year, Axwell crashes into the top 10 at number 5 with the help of Ingrosso, Angello, Laidback Luke and vocalist Deborah Cox on the single "Leave The World Behind".

 

Michael Mind peaked at number 2 with Robin S`s "Show Me Love" last year and this is his biggest hit in the top 10. He is now a new entry at number 8 with "Love's Gonna Get You".

The Dutch dance group, Dance Nation first entered the dfc in late 2001 with "Sunshine" at number 8 and danced the following year all the way to number 5 with "Dance". Now with the assistance of Shaun Baker they update their debut and the result on the top 10 remains the same.

 

Booty Luv missed the countdown with several of their singles except their hit "Boogie 2Nite" in 2006 which raced to the top in 2007 for one week. Their new entry is "Say It" and goes in at 9.

 

The Canadian electronic music group Mstrkrft had a brief excursion with "Work On You" on the dfc in 2006 and creep in at number 10 now with the help of John Legend in "Heartbreaker".

After placing the UK-number one single "I`m Not Alone" at number one on the dfc, Calvin Harris returns with his second single from the album "I Created Disco". The song has already got a good responce in Great Britain and is now this weeks only new entry.

 

David Guetta has topped the countdown for 9 weeks together with Kelly Rowland and this was his record for topping the chart two years ago with "Love Is Gone" meaning that there is an opportunity for him to have his biggest hit as soon as next week with "When Love Takes Over".

A rather interesting chart this week for the dfc with 3 re-entries and 4 new entries. Cidinho and Doca improve their peak position to number 4 when they re-enter the countdown in currently their 17th week. This is the longest stay on the chart for that peak. Dance Nation and Booty Luv also drop by a second time.

 

Gary Pine helped Bob Sinclar race his first single "Love Generation" to the top of the dfc in 2005 and now helps Shaggy straight in at number 5 with "Fly High". Bob Sinclar instead gets assistance from Shabba Ranks and is newly ranked behind Shaggy with "Love You No More". P-Money and Tiesto are also new entries this week.

 

Pitbull has remained at number 2 for a total of 5 weeks which is the longest stay at that peak after Tom Novy´s 4 weeks at number 2 in 2006.
