Yes, but tracks like lollipop and other rap songs go uncensored all of the time!

I saw that coming. It's how I would respond to my comment. ;)

It's one of those situations where the song clearly says the word f***. A lot of rap songs use profanity but the words are actually censored out. Most of the time it's about innuendo. That's the problem with censoring this song. The chorus NEEDS the word to be spelt to make the song effective. I love the song, and it's a great choice, but the label should've seen this coming. I think the radio edit (if it's official) is pretty poor.

Post-edit. Thinking it over, maybe it's not that big of deal. I really have no idea. I'm so against those policitcally correct snobs who choose what we can and cannot say, but from a parents' perspective I can see where they're coming from. I do think there's more important issues that need tackling than censoring this song, though. I think I'm going to retract my statement. ;)

To be honest, I'd be more concerned about my kid listening to Blur than If U Seek Amy tbh :|
Yes but a child would never understand the statement, it's basically a hidden message. Only about half of Britney's fans figured it out without Jive releasing a statement about it...and most of her fans nowadays are 16-25.

I think that's the quinessential argument about this whole thing ... who the hell gives a 6 year old a Britney album? She hasn't released a 'child-friendly' record since I'm Not A Girl :|

True but then again we could only read the title, and sometimes it just doesnt click. Hearing her sing F-U-C-K ME is clearly more obvious, well imo anyway

I must ask, in regards to parental consent how is the Gimme More video acceptable? She is wearing a bra and underwear whilst gyrating around a pole in the video. Hardly the best thing for a child to be watching? And I don't remember hearing any complaints. Now relate this to If U Seek Amy, yes I understand the whole "f*** Me" thing, but isn't that what the GImme More video suggests anyway. Plus, if the child were as innocent as it seemed, the "f*** Me" issue would go right over their heads.

^^^

Exactly my point. Not to mention in the beginning of Gimme More she says BITCH. Half of this controversy is by Jive.

I seriously did NOT hear it untill someone said she is spelling out: f*** me!!

I sure a kid is not gonna hear it! but still if, then I'll be ''I kissed a girls vol. 2'' LOL!

It will help the single!! Even my friends got interesting in hearing just after I told them the story behind it!

David LaChappelle On Board As Director Of The Video For IUSA?

Hey guys! Here's a little tibdit of a rumor that's making the rounds at the moment. It's all in relation to our girl's video for her 3rd single, If U Seek Amy. According to Wikipedia, the great David LaChappelle is the rumored director for the new video.

If this is true, all I have to say is this...

David is both a great photographer & brilliant video director, one of the best & one of my all-time favorites in the business. I've seriously enjoyed everything he's done so far in working w/ B - whether it be on photoshoots (the now infamous 1999 Rolling Stone Magazine cover & photoshoot ) or on videos (Everytime, one of my personal favorite videos so far).

Are we going to have a miniature movie on our hands for this one? Just the thought of it sounds very exciting!

I already smell another #1 for B w/ this one. Not only that, w/ the writing & production credits to "The Maestro" Max Martin & w/ Mr. LaChappelle behind the camera for the video, you can't go wrong. IUSA is a fantastic track & is already taking the world by storm.

If this rumour isn't true, who else would you like to see direct it?

If not him I would love to see Jake Nava do it. (My Prerogative)
Nigel Dick to make it super vintage Britney :w00t:
