The 1980s Scottish guitarist/vocalist/songwriter was responsible for some sophisticated, acoustic, jazz, jangly guitar pop, relying on gentle melodies and clever lyricism.

Were any of you fans of Roddy Frame's highly lyrical melodic pop?

Now that's more like it. "We Could Send Letters" is my favourite Aztec Camera song. That whole "postcard" era with Aztec Camera, Orange Juice and Jozef K produced some fine pop music.

Only got into Aztec Camera with Somewhere in my Heart but I loved Good Morning Britain. I didn't even know who Mick Jones was at the time either!
I liked them when they were out in the '80's, Favourites were Somewhere in my heart & Oblivious.

always considered them rather 'nice and safe'... courting neither the 'cool' nor the 'pop' audience very well fitting somewhere in between... but thats just a personal view.

my fav was 'oblivious', reminds me of the hot summer of 83 when id just got married.
