April 14, 200916 yr For all you fans of 24, you may be interested to know that before series creators Joel Surnow and Michael Loceff did 24, they did a show in Canada based upon the French film "Nikita", called "La Femme Nikita"... The show ran from 1997 to 2001, starred Australian actress Peta Wilson as Nikita (tall, blonde, gorgeous, she was also in the film "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" playing the role of Mina Harker...) and Canadian actor Roy Dupuis as her mentor/friend/lover (later on in the show) Michael... Of special interest was the fact that Alberta Watson (who played Erin Driscoll in 24) was also in the show as Madeline... The show can be seen as a bit of a prototype for 24 in a lot of ways (and arguably "Alias" as well..), Nikita was a member of "The Section", an anti-terrorist organisation, a bit like CTU, only The Section was a lot more shadowy and brutal, and the question as to whether or not The Section was always on the side of good was very ambiguous at times... The attitude of The Section was very cold, ruthless and calculating, people could easily be "cancelled" if they were of the slightest threat to The Section, regardless of whether they were innocent or guilty of any crimes or wrongdoing... The show was very much of its time (mid-90s), quite sort of 'cyberpunk' in some ways, but if you stick with it, it's a really good show, very entertaining, imo... R1 box sets are available from Play or Amazon (unfortunately not R2 as yet...), and there's probably some satellite station showing it somewhere too I would imagine.... I would also imagine it available for download on sites such as BT Junkie or Mininova..... I would very much recommend this to fans of 24....
April 14, 200916 yr Author Tony's a traitor... again? I'm only watching Sky One pace, as I prefer watching it in real time.

I used to watch this a few years back, very good series if I remember.
April 20, 200916 yr I can't wait until tomorrow to get the next episode tbh. This now on Sky1 is the third time i've watched it, and i'm still shocked :|
April 20, 200916 yr Author Worst. Twist. Ever They've just totally destroyed Tony's charcter. Only way he could possibly he redeemed was if he just wanted to stave off being arrested. I don't think that's true though. It's either a huge red herring, or a massive cock up by the writers.

I don't think that's true though. It's either a huge red herring, or a massive cock up by the writers. I agree to an extent - I really don't get why Tony would work undercover to bring down terrorists, save the day only to be a traitor?! Oh well, i'm sure all will be revealed soon enough :o I'm hoping the other guy is also a good guy and Larry is a bad guy? [/not gonna happen]

Oh well, i'm sure all will be revealed soon enough :o I'm hoping the other guy is also a good guy and Larry is a bad guy? [/not gonna happen] Its just a $h!t twist unless they've got some major reason for Tony doing what he did. Why does he blow up all the missles, yet steal one tiny cannister? It makes no sense. I love the unpredictability of deaths too in 24 but the way they just bumped off Larry was just dumb. Saying that there were major hints throughout the episode about Larry dying and Tony going bad again.
April 20, 200916 yr I saw that coming actually, as I know what is going to happen in a few episodes time, I knew Tony goes rogue again.
April 21, 200916 yr Next Week :| I now agree with Rooney, worst twist ever, half the stuff Tony does is SO stupidly out of character :/ WHY GOD WHY?
May 18, 200916 yr FINALE TOMORROW I don't recall being this excited for a finale in a loooong time. <3
May 19, 200916 yr WTF @ the last episode... I'm only 10 minutes in but... WAY TO RUIN A GOODf***ING PLOT
May 19, 200916 yr Author OK so I watched the finale earlier. I was the twist coming an ABSOLUTE MILE off. I think next season has been set up pretty well though.
May 19, 200916 yr OK so I watched the finale earlier. I was the twist coming an ABSOLUTE MILE off. I think next season has been set up pretty well though. Definatley - but I found the whole Tony/Revenge thing UBER lame. Really not a great finale at all imo :/
May 19, 200916 yr Author Definatley - but I found the whole Tony/Revenge thing UBER lame. Really not a great finale at all imo :/ I found it good. Very believeable. But they'd obviously done it just to throw in another twist to the works. I did find it a bit of an anti-climax as pretty much all of the main plots were resolved mid-way through the final episode, but they ended with emotinal stuff as opposed to action. There's definitely un-resolved things from this season that will be in next year like the conspiracy plot. I don't think that's over by a long way yet.
May 24, 200916 yr Author Can someone clarify this.... is each season = 1 day? So 7 seasons = one week? Each season equals 1 day yep. But the days are spread over about 10 years.
May 24, 200916 yr I've been watching them all on Sky, so I'm a week behind. This is a time I wish I was back in NY ;) I skimmed the spoilers, and coudln't find a twist, but maybe I've missed something? If it's regarding the conclusion of the finale, I think we all knew something like this was going to happen. Oh well, if there is a twist I'd rather it not be ruined by reading spoilers from the internet, because it just wouldn't be the same (for me). Anyway, this season has been a major improvement from season six. I can barely even remember what the plot of that season was about, and that is coming from an avid 24 fan.
