Posted January 13, 200916 yr MTV spoke with Blink-182's Mark Hoppus to get the real story about rumors that his former band may be reuniting. He said in part: "None of us know exactly what's going to happen. I do know that we're all very stoked to be talking again, laughing and letting the past remain in the past. "But we're also coming together after an extremely acrimonious band breakup, a lot of anger and frustration with one another and four years of not talking. "I think that we need to get back to a certain point as friends before we could ever take a stage together again, because that's what we always based everything on. "If - and this is a big if — Blink-182 were ever to re-form, it would have to be the most amazing, ridiculous, mind-blowing show and tour ever. "I feel like, as bitter as our breakup was, we stepped back at the top of our game, and we'd have to come back even stronger and better than before."
January 13, 200916 yr I really HOPE thye reform. But i'm not sure. I think they want to, but I also I think they don't want to. I do think the whole plane crash incident has made them realise that life is too short, and there's no time to fall out with your best friends. And let's be honest, all the side projects they've been apart of have been rubbish compared to Blink... I do think they'd have to come back with something mind-blowing as a single. But I think they can do it.
January 13, 200916 yr Author TBH, i wouldnt really care that much if they didnt reform because i think +44 are brilliant, infact WYHSB is better than the last Blink album anyway. I'm not even sure if they could get the sound right again.
January 14, 200916 yr GAWD, I hope not.... couldn't stand Blink 182.. Sorry Chris, but for me, they were just part of the whole "dumbing down" process that happened to the Punk/Alternative movement....

Sorry Chris, but for me, they were just part of the whole "dumbing down" process that happened to the Punk/Alternative movement.... meh, i'm part of the generation that likes crap  althought tracks like 'All The Small Things' and 'I Miss You' are just :puke2:
January 14, 200916 yr meh, i'm part of the generation that likes crap  Well, to be fair, there was a fair bit of chaff that called itself "Hard Rock" in the 80s.... You ever seen any of that "Hair Metal" stuff.... The likes of Dokken, Poison, Tigertailz, Whitesnake, Faster Pussycat, etc.....? Oh deeeeeeeeearrrrrrrrr.......

Oh deeeeeeeeearrrrrrrrr....... I know of Poison and Whitesnake, they are very oh dear, my problem is that i still like some of the stuff from when i was like 10/11/12, although my music taste has developed a A LOT since then and hardly ever listened to stuff from then now i cant help but like things like Blink-182 and Linkin Park, it's sort of just because it's my era, obviously now i prefer much better music

They actually did a couple of decent albums in the late 70s in the period immediately after Coverdale left Deep Purple, before Coverdale buggered off to LA in the mid-80s to become the cliched 'C**k Rock' merchant.....
January 14, 200916 yr Would be good if they did return with a sort of 'adult/mature' sound, just imagine if they returned with 2002-pop/punk type of tracks in 2009. (Even though I don't actually mind them tracks :heehee: ).
May 6, 200916 yr I assume it's going to change a fair bit from that but I'd just worry that they'd try too much to incorporate all of the separate projects. Especially since I didn't really like Angels & Airwaves much.
May 6, 200916 yr Author well your reply was a bit stupid, this is from when it was only rumoured. closed/moved to blink.
