Avocet...........the large, elegant black and white wader that is the symbol of the R.S.P.B.

Great Crested Grebe..........one is sitting on its nest on a pile of twigs in a lake near us. The baby chicks climb onto their

mother's back to ride when they are tired.

I cant think of 1 for I...........all i can think of is Iris,but they're not British are they?

Iceland Gull ?........a scarce winter visitor.
Kingfisher. I'd never appreciated what tiny, jewels of birds they are until I moved here.
Lapwing.........glorious to watch when they are displaying in the air. We call them Peewits round here (their call)
