January 15, 200916 yr my net is still playing up so im just popoing im from college i hope to be back to normal again soon,my exams finished today woohoo and went well im so happy up all night is the next single im sure its gonna be a number 1 and rightly so and it should do alot for the album also
January 15, 200916 yr Author my net is still playing up so im just popoing im from college i hope to be back to normal again soon,my exams finished today woohoo and went well im so happy up all night is the next single im sure its gonna be a number 1 and rightly so and it should do alot for the album also I think I can understand them going with Greatest Day now as the first single. I suppose being the first single they were assured of their fan-base alone making it at least a top 5 hit so they could release the song that isn't the best. Up All Night however will appeal to a load of other people other than their fans ... I'm certain it'll go to number 1 and should gain them the Best Single at the 2010 Brit Awards (sadly I don't think they'll get anything at the 2009 Brits). Norma
January 19, 200916 yr i think they have a chance of an ward at the brits but i guess time will tell,ya i can see greatest day had to be 1st single or not a single at all as it been a brand new song the fanbase would rush out and buy it,,up all night will have a far wider appeal and will be a massive radio hit which should ensure it getting to number 1

Even, as someone has said, RTW is eligible ... that stands little chance because of the distance in time (will have been not fresh enough in people's memories). So that leaves anything the Brits Panel nominate them for .... and although they may nominate them ... we all know that the Brits Panel will always go for someone like Arctic Monkeys or the offshoot The Last Shadowpuppets. They think its too 'uncool' to vote for any pop band / album - not just Take That. Norma
January 20, 200916 yr take that arent just pop people see them as a band not a pop band anymore,,i know greatest day isnt the best song but hopefully the fans will be behind it
January 20, 200916 yr Author take that arent just pop people see them as a band not a pop band anymore,,i know greatest day isnt the best song but hopefully the fans will be behind it I honestly can't see the Brits Panel awarding Take That with anything more than a nomination ... and even then they're only doing it to pay lip-service. You mark my words - LSP's will win best band and best album. BUT ... I do think Take That will win a couple more Brits in 2010 - for UAN as best single and Best Live Act as they will have done The Circus tour by then. Norma
January 20, 200916 yr The games are made: http://www.brits.co.uk/news/coldplay-and-duffy-lead-the-b/ . Well, i expect Coldplay to win at least 3 of those four nominations missing only the live act perhaps. Full nomination at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/4...s-revealed.html . really disspointed that Rule the World didn't get any recognition at all... At least Take That will sing at the awards http://www.brits.co.uk/news/take-that-coldplay-added-to-b/ . Edited January 20, 200916 yr by IrisAlbastru

At least Take That will sing at the awards http://www.brits.co.uk/news/take-that-coldplay-added-to-b/ . Thanks for that Iris! I was pretty certain that they'd only get the one nomination. To be honest I'm glad they've not been nominated in the single category with Greatest Day ... as I think it would have been unwarranted. As I've said before - 2010 will be the year they'll probably get 3 possibly even 4 nominations! Glad they're appearing though ... that makes up for not winning. And the publicity should be good as I imagine they'll sing Up All Night! Boost for the album and a boost for what should certainly be a number 1 single ... and for more than one week! Norma PS - thanks for coming back ... even for the one post!
January 20, 200916 yr Hehe, there is the time to get back the army of TT fans. To quiet here  *Norma, thank you for the pm.* And i am still depressed that Rule the World won nothing NOTHING!!!! Damn, is one of my fav five TT songs ever. TT nomination in the best group category is such a joke - thay get never something from the Brit critics and in competition with Radiohead and Coldplay ....

TT nomination in the best group category is such a joke - thay get never something from the Brit critics and in competition with Radiohead and Coldplay .... To be honest ... I think if they'd have nominated RTW, some people may have seen Take That as wanting to have their cake and eat it (as a lot will have seen that it was eligible last year). Even though the artists themselves have no say in the nominations. I'm just glad they weren't nominated for Greatest Day as ... had it have won ... it would have been a bit of a hollow victory! Brighter news though ... I am absolutely certain 2010 is going to be their year of greatest wins! As no doubt everyone is sick of me saying. If UAN is nominated .... there is no way it won't win ... it'll win over non-Take That fans in the way Shine did! Live Act ... should be in the bag! So thats two wins! Having said that ... I suppose if Robbie comes out with the killer single and album ... the floor will be his .... Again! Norma
January 20, 200916 yr im surprised they have only 1 nomination but then again they didnt do much last year really until the very end which is too late,,im especially surprised they are not up for best live act
January 20, 200916 yr Author im surprised they have only 1 nomination but then again they didnt do much last year really until the very end which is too late,,im especially surprised they are not up for best live act They didn't tour last year so they're not eligible for best live act. Surprised, as Iris has said, that a nomination for RTW wasn't squeezed in (as I suppose, strictly speaking - it was eligible). I think all Take That fans are resigned to the fact that they won't win this year ... but as far as I'm concerned ... it strengthens their chances of coming away in 2010 with multiple gongs! There is no way they won't win Best Single (UAN) and Live Act at the next Brits Awards. And the important thing is ... they're performing ... more sales to The Circus (provided they sing UAN and not GD!) Norma
January 20, 200916 yr they better sing up all night and i agree performing will be a huge album boost,,im hoping this year girls aloud can get their 1st award and i think they have a strong chance of winning best single
January 20, 200916 yr Author I don't see why GA shouldn't win best single. The only competition from that lot I can see (apart from a load of sheep-X-factor followers) is Coldplays. I'd be happy with either a GA or Coldplay win there! Norma
January 20, 200916 yr i think its between coldplay girls aloud and that awful mercy by duffy,,i dont mind coldplay winning either
January 20, 200916 yr Author I hope Mercy doesn't win! But to be honest ... anything other than Hallelujah would be a blessed relief! Norma
January 20, 200916 yr i would rather halleluagh win than mercy to be honest as i hate mercy with a passion
