Posted January 15, 200916 yr Ricardo Montalban, the actor best known for playing Mr. Roarke on the original version of "Fantasy Island," has died http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?.../MNBR15ADEC.DTL Best remembered from Star Trek as Khan. RIP
January 16, 200916 yr I know he was a superb actor and had starred in many, many things but I'll always remember him in the Star Trek episode that spawned the second best Star Trek film from the franchise ever ... Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan. df_Na-4d5QA Rob you were joking when you asked 'who' weren't you? Norma Edited January 16, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
January 17, 200916 yr Rob you were joking when you asked 'who' weren't you? Norma Blimey, even I've heard of Ricardo Montalban..... Okay, granted, mainly for playing Khan, but I seem to remember him being in Die-Nasty (Dynasty.... ) as well.....
January 17, 200916 yr Blimey, even I've heard of Ricardo Montalban..... Okay, granted, mainly for playing Khan, but I seem to remember him being in Die-Nasty (Dynasty.... ) as well..... Half correct he was in the spin-off from Dynasty, The Colbys as Zach Powers. He was also particularly memorable as Vincent Ludwig in the first Naked Gun / Police Squad film with Leslie Nielson. As good a reason to drop this in I suppose! Xi0CfTdHBbY The guy as done absolutely loads of stuff from the 1940's onward most recently he has (or his voice has appeared in Family Guy). I think Rob was just kidding when he said he'd never heard of him. I mean ... surely everyone has seen at least one episode of Fantasy Island. And for people over a certain age (which I know myself and Rob are) to not know him as Khan is unforgivable - even if you're not a Star Trek fan! Norma Edited January 17, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
January 17, 200916 yr Anyone other than me remember Mr. Montalban as Armando, the circus owner, from the movie 'Conquest of the Planet of the Apes'?
