February 2, 200916 yr Author The Chris Moyles show this morning was very entertaining ... even without Gary being a guest (although it went up leagues when he did appear.) I think I'm going to sponsor a few of them - Gary, Cheryl, Kimberley, Chris and maybe Ronan - wtf - if hubby doesn't find out I may sponsor them all (just a fiver each mind!) It'll absolve me from guilt when I don't buy the Comic Relief song! Norma
February 2, 200916 yr Author You don't know him! He's a real softie (will buy several Big Issues from the folks in Wigan) but he's so sceptical about charity letters that come in the post! Norma
February 2, 200916 yr i wouldnt blame him and to be honest there are so many that its only natural to doubt some of them

February 14, 200916 yr Author I'm putting this in here as well as the sound and vision bit. It is so funny. Just keep clicking 'listen again' and it eventually plays. So Gary prefers Girls Aloud to the Spice Girls then! http://www.garybarlowstighttrousers.co.uk/...read.php?t=5234 Norma

February 18, 200916 yr Author Some more re the climb. This is so funny ... they really do look hard at work - although the commentary seems to treat Cheryl & Kimberley as one person! rcBRajmhLYQ Norma
February 21, 200916 yr Author http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...icle2259440.ece TAKE THAT’s GARY BARLOW has been laid up with an agonising back injury — just days before he is due to climb 19,000ft Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief. The singer, 38, injured his fourth vertebra while training for the trek. But he was said to be determined to be fit in time to leave on Friday. Gary was hours from pulling out of performances at the Brit Awards and a benefit concert for Warchild on Wednesday — but kept going with strong painkillers. The next day the Back for Good singer was whisked off for a scan at the Olympic Medical Institute in Harrow, West London. A source said: “Gary has had a twinge in his back for a few weeks. He has a baby daughter and lifting her also put pressure on it. “He is now flat on his back at home so the swelling goes down.” A Comic Relief spokeswoman said: “We are fortunate to have the support of eminent sport professionals on the climb. Gary is lucky they found the injury in early stages.” Norma I hope he is well enough for the climb - he really had his heart set on it. I wonder if their performance on Ant & Dec will be cancelled tonight? Nothing is going right for this new record is it? Edited February 21, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
March 2, 200916 yr Author Anyway! There are loads of on-line articles saying Gary has dropped out of the climb ... let me just say at this moment ... it is all bollocks! He's still there and as at today ... he was actually with the lead pack. The Mirror would have you believe he was dying! 'He was walking with two poles' (the walking staffs - not the East European variety) ... well they all were! 'He collapsed in agony at the end of the first four hours' - he was taking a lie-down as they all did! Jesus ... doesn't take long for the press to revert to type and hope everything Gary does fails so they can have a juicy headline. He had injured his back several weeks ago but according to the papers 'he isn't managing because he's a fat bast*rd who hasn't trained'. He's been training for six months as have all the others (even Moyles!) The long-haul air journey and the 4X4 truck ride to the base of the mountain didn't help ... but the walking actually eases the pain eventually. The only way Gary would quit this is if he does actually fracture his back - as he knows how the press will put a slant on it. Norma
March 2, 200916 yr Author Satellite telephone call from Chris Moyles today to Radio One ... confirming Gary's back is bad but it is getting better the more they walk. Its about 2.26 into the show. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00hv...how_02_03_2009/ Norma
