February 3, 200916 yr ahahaha what exactly is Barry better at than Carrick? watch his sublime passes this season you'll see why he's a English, European and World Champion Leadership, tackling, goalscoring... The only area where Carrick is probably better ishis passing and techniality. Both are good players, but personally i'd take Barry over Carrick anyday. I won't argue Carrick has been in good form, and from the highlights I saw against Everton he was very good, but i'd still much rather have Barry.
February 3, 200916 yr just like most Liverpool fans wanted Keane over Berbs lol and btw, Craig, on another forum i go on not one Spurs fan is for the return of Keane
February 3, 200916 yr just like most Liverpool fans wanted Keane over Berbs lol and btw, Craig, on another forum i go on not one Spurs fan is for the return of Keane Yeah I would have taken him over Berbatov. No way in hell that i'd be happy to see Liverpool blow £30m on a big sulk in a position we don't need to spend £30m on. The fee should rise to £16m for Keane, and then if Spurs win silverware (!) we get an extra £3m. I for one am glad to be rid of him and his £90k a week wages.
February 3, 200916 yr Author just like most Liverpool fans wanted Keane over Berbs lol and btw, Craig, on another forum i go on not one Spurs fan is for the return of Keane I am not overjoyed by it in hindsight as he can't play with Defoe and Defoe is a natural goalscorer, I would have done a loan deal on Keane, maybe let Liverpool off £5m of the £11m they still owe us or something in return for a 6 month loan by which time Yakubu would be fit I want our 4 strikers next season to be Defoe Yakubu Pav Crouch Keane will do a good job for the rest of the season but I cant see the logic in re-sigining him
February 3, 200916 yr Author Going back "on topic" I would choose Barry too Can play LM, LB, DM and very well in all positions, while Carrick is a handy passer Barry would be my first choice
February 3, 200916 yr Carrick > Barry anyday of the week for me. I find it no coincidence that since Carrick joined Man Utd from Spurs United have gone from pretenders to favourites for the title most years and Spurs have gone from the nearest to breaking the top 4 to relegation candidates. I would certainly have both in the England squad though, along with Hargreaves and one of Lampard or Gerrard, probably rotate them until either can prove they can perform for England! And I;m sure I remember Carrick playing in England's last England game. I'm quite confident that he'll be playing against Spain next week, maybe not if Beckham starts... February 3, 200916 yr ahahaha Oh yes, because Aston Villa are doing absolutely hopeless with their talisman rock solid midfielder (whom was Aston Villa's player of the season in 2006-7 & 2007-8, whom when both Carrick & Barry had been fit, Cappello went with Barry. Not least due to Barry & Gerrard having partnered each other at international level since U-21 level. Whilst lets face it as Sunday proved for the umpteenth time Frank Lampard goes missing in big games, Steven Gerrard does not (he only goes missing in lesser games which has been a lot of Liverpool's problems as the rest of the team far too often can't make up for the fact when he gets man marked by two opposition players...) Still Capello knows absolutely nothing about management does he. Still I heard an internet rumour that a very well known Manchester United fan & his backing band bet everything on Chelsea beating Liverpool on Sunday. http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/music/Pix/pictures/2009/2/3/1233667266304/Inner-sleeve-of-Morrissey-001.jpg

February 3, 200916 yr the workhorse set-up? Well I don't think he'd like been 2nd string to Torres...
February 4, 200916 yr and it's no wonder England didn't make it to Euro08 with the last game being played without one Manchester United player And nothing to do with an untested keeper (Scott Carson - who, iirc, only had one cap before that game) in for the biggest game of the campaign.
February 4, 200916 yr And nothing to do with an untested keeper (Scott Carson - who, iirc, only had one cap before that game) in for the biggest game of the campaign. and? alot more experienced goalkeepers have made mistakes, ala, Paul Robinson Vs Croatia away don't put on your blinkers without United, England would be nothing

February 4, 200916 yr Morrissey's not a United fan and it's no wonder England didn't make it to Euro08 with the last game being played without one Manchester United player cheers Call yourself a The Smiths fan. He used to be in the biography Severed Alliance: It revealed that the one masculine thing that he did in his adolescence was go to Old Trafford with his dad on a Saturday afternoon to see his favourite team play. Whilst it was a frequennt form of banter for the band as the other three members supported "the City". (Funny Oasis = Man City; The Beatles = Everton; how ironic) His all time favourite player was Eric Cantona. During the 1995 Boxers tour, the godfather of indie had "Cantona" written on his tambourine. And that his song Roy's Keen might be a pun on the name of former Manchester United midfield hard-man Roy Keane. He also recorded his tribute song "Munich Air Disaster 1958". In fact Morrissey has been a fan since back when Manchester United hats cost 12 shillings. "I once bought a Manchester United hat, which I think was 12 shillings," he told NME in 1988, "and somebody ran up behind me and pulled it off and just ran ahead. I thought - it's a very cruel world; I'm not prepared for this. And I decided to get my revenge on society. However, in the documentary ''The Importance of Being Morrissey'' (2002), he mentions that he no longer follows football as his then exile to the USA coupled with the globalisation of the Premier League with less British players has lessoned his enthusiasm, and would only start to watch again if the players would kick about a politician. "If there was Tony Blair instead of a round object I'd be captivated." Still shouldn't you be gloating about Steven Gerrard's hamstring injury tonight that looks serious.... Proof the Rafa knew what he was doing when he wanted Barry instead that Inter Milan reject Keane.
