Kristin Scott Thomas will play John Lennon's domineering Aunt Mimi in Nowhere Boy, the biopic based on the rock icon's life. It has been noted that Aunt Mimi played a major role in her young nephew's life. Ecosse Films will produce the film.

 

Anne-Marie Duff has been cast as Lennon's mother Julia, while newbie Aaron Johnson, who had a role in The Illusionist, will play Lennon during his young, impressionable years. The biopic will focus on Lennon's nascent years and his rise to stardom.
