The five girls, Nicole, Melody, Jessica, Kimberly and Ashley arrived on stage in glittery motorbikes, before strutting and gyrating their way through an exhausting two hour show complete with skimpy outfits, risque dance moves and infectious energy. They may catch the attention of their fans young and old for their energetic dance moves, but the Pussycat Dolls are far more than a well marketed dance group. Lead singer Nicole Scherzinger may carry most of the vocals but an impressive solo section proved her onstage companions are talented singers too. The Dolls also paid homage to their beginnings as a dance troupe with a section dedicated to burlesque, complete with poles, sailors and feather boas. The girls, who arrived in the UK last week — along with lead Doll Nicole’s partner, F1 champion Lewis Hamilton — are joined on tour by electro-pop sensation Lady GaGa, currently number one in the UK singles chart. With her blend of 1980s synth sounds and eccentric wardrobe the New Yorker nearly stole the show, and is sure to see her album sales rocket. However there was no doubting the popularity of the PCD as they belted out hits such as When I Grow Up, I Hate This Part and Buttons, setting the crowd into a frenzy. A stint in sequined tartan outfits saw the girls take members of the audience up on stage for a live dance lesson. Whether they were a pre-teen girl dancing out every rehearsed move, or the eager dad keen to see the feisty five in real life, every member of the audience at the AECC seemed to feel the party atmosphere. source: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.a...035433?UserKey= Edited January 23, 200916 yr by Dinno
