Hello to everyone at Buzzjack and welcome to week number 2 of 2009, and my second top 40 chart of the year.

 

It is definetly harder to work out the top 40, I thought having more records would make it easier than a top 20 chart but now it is much harder to get the right music in the countdown, but thank you to everyone who commented on my first top 40 countdown!!!!

 

Onto this week's chart, and can Leona Lewis make it a 4th week at the top of the chart with 'Run' or could we have the first brand new number one of 2009.

 

This week's contenders include White Lies and Chase and Status, both with 2 entries in the top 40 as well as climbers from Kid Cudi, Kevin Rudolf, Alesha Dixon and Franz Ferdinand but can any of them make it to the top spot.

A new record has been set for the highest climb to number one, a massive 24 place climb for the brilliant White Lies with their debut single 'To Lose My Life'

The highest climber before this came from Mark Brown and Sarah Cracknell, exactly one year ago when 'The Journey Continues' climbed a massive 19 places from 20 to 1. Who will be the next act to set the highest climb this year, it will be an interesting 2009!!!!

 

Question is, who can beat them, can White Lies stay at the top of the chart for a second week will we have a brand new number one????
