You're right ... it deserves its own thread!

I may add the Take That Comes To Town one later! Off to Tescos now!

Norma

What happens 2 minutes in? With the hand? I don't get it :heehee:

I'm not sure I like this song :o It's my first listen and on first impressions it's nowhere near as good as any of their previous stuff (and nor is 'Greatest Day'.)

LOL...they didn't know the lyrics by heard and read from Mark's hand.

Perhaps it is a song to grown on you. I liked it right away and is my fav on The Circus and def. in my Top 5 TakeThat! But i just love retro music, esp 60-70' - exactly the sound of this song . I love the little spice of orchestration a la "Simon and Garfunkel " at the begining on the album version and guitars and the tuba in background. :yahoo: .

It is definitely in my top five Take That tunes ever! And it was one I wasn't quite sure of to begin with (I felt about it the same way I felt about Shine the first time I heard that ... and yet my sister loved Shine as soon as she'd heard it on 'An Audience With ....' I'm glad you pointed out the S&G thing. For ages my husband was saying ... this song reminded him of something and he just couldn't put his finger on it. Then the other day in the car he shouted 'Cecelia' ... and he's right ... it really is reminiscent of that particular song.

Slick - give it a couple more listens ... honestly it does grow!

up all night appealed to me staright away and likwise with shine they such great upbeat happy songs and yes i must agree it does have that cecilia soind ring to it and i love that song also

Do we think it'll get to number 1?

Surprise Surprise from me (the eternal pessimist) I think it will!

Norma

i think it will its a great song but i can really see radio supporting it which is great promo plus there loyal fanbase and i can see a few people who may not usually buy a take that single buying this,i know i am definiitly buying the cd single of it

Hey Norma, I just have to say I'm glad I got it wrong. :D

I do love this track, I really hope it gets to number 1 but I adored Rule The World and that was held off. Is Leona Lewis set to be releasing a new track? :P

Up All Night Video Premiere

Take That’s next single will be the brilliant ‘Up All Night’, out 2nd March, and you can catch the world exclusive showing of the video next week!

Tune in to This Morning, ITV1, on Tuesday 27th January between 12.00 and 12.30 to catch it. The show will also have an exclusive behind-the-scenes video feature in a couple of weeks.

If you aren’t able to watch it with Philip and Fern then head to MSN – the ONLY place you’ll be able to watch the video until the following day.

The video was shot in the UK and features Take That playing at a street party. ‘Up All Night’ is the second single from the band’s already six-times platinum album The Circus.

Thank you for the information. I bet that will be possible to look at the MSN only in UK and i will have to hunt on youtube :teresa: .

I hope the video will support the song. I think the video for Patience and Shine were very good at that while the one for Rule the world was boring and the one for Id wait for life was weird (and one of the reasons why the song didn't do well). It should be clasic and retro.

i think it will sell better than greatest day as greatest day still hasnt sold 300,000 yet.....shine sold near 400,000,patience over 500,000 and rule the world almost 600,000 so i can see up all night doing around the same as shine

There's no doubting it'll do better than Greatest Day with sales ... I think GD has only sold about 210,000 (and is not likely to add to its tally). I just wish they weren't leaving the release date of UAN until as late as 2nd March ... the album needs a boost right NOW!

the album is doing fine the brits will bring it up soon then the single will bring it up again,,,greatest day had sold 230,000 up til last week

Here is an official video for "Up All Night":

Thanks Diana

I still love the song but the video is cr/\p! I hope thats just the rushes and not the finished article!

It seams that they will release in Germany "Said it all" instead of "Up all night", which will put me totally off. I am so depressed now that i will even not tell you how much i like and why the new video ...

*Going to store my TT love in the basement :( *

To be honest though Iris, I don't think anything the boys release outside the UK will do well chart-wise - even UAN - as good as it is. I'm assuming that they'll release Said It All without a video too ... like they did Reach Out ... which means (and I'm a bit annoyed and ashamed of them for this) they're honestly aren't trying outside the UK.
