Posted January 23, 200916 yr New Aussie soap :kink: Starting on Channel Five or Fiver soon, its seem to be everywhere, they are plugging it to death, does anyone know more about it, or Aussie members who can shed some light on the series.

The actors are all fairly attractive, as well. It is unlike Home & Away that it is so dull, the acting makes all the sentences the exact same (if they reveal a killer, its the same as tone as if they talked about going to sleep the night before). The cameras they use always have a fuzzy white wash on it, it makes the entire show seem so low quality. The cinematography is pathetic. It's like they pulled it out of the rulebook, but didn't quite understand. It's like everything is filmed with a $200 Mini DV camera on a tripod. The slight pans are just stupid and a waste of time. The audio is very bland and boring. It honestly looks like it was shot with something much worse then a cheap Mini DV camera. It tries to go further then Home & Away with more camera angles (but definitely not better), a more ambitious story and a more freelance look (going to more locations). It doesn't pass, though. Everything it tries it pretty much crumbles. The "year 12 student" looks like he's 25. The story might indeed be interesting, but it's certainly not shown. Technically this show is pathetic, it's so bad I can't continue to watch anymore. The tone is horrible. If my friends made this movie, I would tell them it's horrible. It's that bad. This isn't even cut out for YouTube. I have definitely seen better stuff on YouTube. Dire acting. yeah based around some murder in the 1st episode, it started with over 1million viewrs, by the end, after being shunted onto bbc 2, has less than 100,000. i think at a low point hit something like 46,000. Clearly C5, see some sort of potential in it....
January 24, 200916 yr This was proper dirge. BBC1 saw it as some sort of replacement for Neighbours... But I suppose 46,000 is acceptable for Five in daytime haha.
January 27, 200916 yr its actually very good and quite addictive i've watched all on bbc1/2 and loved it, finishes on thursday bbc2. characters are good and storylines are great the way they all intertwine with each other. bbc didnt give it much hope moving it after a week all programmes take a while to get loyal viewers and when it moved to bbc2 nothing but schedule muck ups constantly takin off for bowls, tennis, darts etc so perm being moved all over the place and being put on at 1pm instead of original intended 2.10pm slot clashed with things. its something i'd deffo re watch and cant wait til fiver start with it on monday
February 5, 200916 yr its no too bad, they show it on Channel 10 here in oz.... there's something like 120 eps or round abouts. i dont watch it too much, coz it was originally on at 10:30 at night, but had a few time reschedulements!
