it was a first to 10 knockout round...#10's was the first to ten, it couldn't have been any fairer

 

there was no point doing first to 20 as we may never have got there seeing as we only attracted 16 voters in the first place to #10's and 14 to the other one

 

yeh but i for one didn't know it was first to ten so didn't get the chance to vote - similarly there are a lot of participants who are in different time zones or just not on their computers right now. Could we not have a vote over 24 hours and then the one with the most votes wins at the end of it? :huh:

I am more than happy to reopen the vote until this time tomorrow if people want that

I dont think it makes a huge amount of difference at all, this one won in both polls tbf, and its not as if foreign songs is also gonna be done.. its all swings & roundabouts...

No. It's only a one-off, like you said we could have the Foreign Languages another time! It's not the end of the world and Also James (The HOST) would like UK #10's, so what's the point of him being the host of a theme that he may not want to particularly take part in?

May I suggest not having a reservation thread and making it a straight confirmation thread - reduces the time as it's a spin off (if it goes ahead).

it was the general consensual decision when we were discussing it the other day seeing as he does so much work for the BJSC and really deserves to host something

I apologise, I only tried to speed the process up because other people wanted to get the thing going asap

 

I wasn't trying to boss people about, just trying to get the spin-off underway and going so that it doesn't overlap with XIV too much

Lol crumbs - Don't be sad you've done a jolly good job to seemingly create a whole contest in a matter of hours, just a bit of a shock is all that it all happened between my lunch break and when I got home from work ^_^
