Radiohead and hip-hop stars Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West and Lil Wayne were also added to the bill. Katy Perry, Coldplay, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and the Jonas Brothers were previously confirmed. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will play drums for McCartney, while Jay-Z, Wayne and West are scheduled to perform together on the single 'Swagga Like Us'. T.I. and Timberlake will also collaborate. Radiohead's performance will be their first on live US TV in nine years. Sir Paul, who is up for two awards, will be backed by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on drums. Jay-Z and Kanye West, who have both been nominated for six prizes, will sing with rappers TI and Lil Wayne. They join previously announced performers including Coldplay, Katy Perry and Jennifer Hudson. Lil Wayne leads the nominations with eight nominations, including album of the year for Tha Carter III. Radiohead, who have received five nods, will perform their first live US TV performance since 2000. There is a strong batch of British nominees this year with Coldplay leading the way with seven nominations. The record of the year award will fall into British hands, with Leona Lewis, Adele, Robert Plant and M.I.A joining Coldplay on the shortlist. Adele and Duffy will compete for best new artist and Radiohead join Plant and Coldplay in the album of the year list. Plant and Radiohead have five nominations each, while Adele has four. The show takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will be broadcast live across the US.
