January 30, 200916 yr not fantastic for whatever Sweden send, right at the start, Finland could blow the competiton away in such a good qualifying spot if they pick Waldo's People the right song... Ireland have a very good spot in semi-2, fingers crossed that they send something good!
January 30, 200916 yr oh and you forgot Turkey Cal, they are in between Belarus and Romania in Semi-1
January 30, 200916 yr Author Turkey added. :D And this isn't the running order? :( Aw $h!t! I thought we had a good spot!
January 30, 200916 yr Turkey added. :D And this isn't the running order? :( Aw $h!t! I thought we had a good spot! Nope. The running order isn't decided until March 17th. I see the Uk can't vote for Ireland again...which is probably good because it will be an incentive for the BBC to show both semi-finals again.
January 30, 200916 yr they should show them both anyway seeing as they are taking it so seriously this year... they will want the UK public to see all of the selected entrant's competition
January 30, 200916 yr 2nd semi for Ireland this time then, hmm hopefully we'll send something really good this year. Also I think it should be obligatory for all participating countries to show both semis, because then everyone gets a full idea of the songs before the final.
January 30, 200916 yr I was looking through this draw but didn't find Russia, then i remembered we AQ'd :heehee:
January 30, 200916 yr Author I'm peeved about Serbia and Greece being in with us. They always qualify... which means less chance for Ireland to get through :P
January 30, 200916 yr 2nd semi for Ireland this time then, hmm hopefully we'll send something really good this year. Also I think it should be obligatory for all participating countries to show both semis, because then everyone gets a full idea of the songs before the final. If it's anything like last year, quite a few of them will be showing the SF that they aren't in. Last year, they were (deep breath) the United Kingdom, San Marino, Greece, Croatia, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Malta, Serbia, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, Portugal, Cyprus, Israel, Estonia, Turkey, Latvia, Slovenia, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Andorra, Albania, Bulgaria, Iceland, Sweden and Romania (all in all, 30 countries). Also, two other questions (one rhetorical, one not so): 1 - Anybody wondering where Greece's and Cyprus' 12pts are going in the Semis this year? 2 - Much like last year, is Caroline Flack going to be going around (and getting pissed in) Moscow?
January 30, 200916 yr Author I know Ireland will give their 7,8,10,12 points to Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, and Latvia. :P Edited January 30, 200916 yr by Cäl
January 30, 200916 yr Only 4 songs only have been chosen :heehee: And we already know who will qualify :kink:
January 30, 200916 yr Author Turkey will qualify without a doubt. And so will Albania. Belarus will be an epic fail, along with Montenegro. I haven't heard Bosnia's yet, there doesn't seem to be a clip of it on the net. Our Semi is interesting. It's not particularly strong (going by past performances). Estonia, Lithuania and Poland never do well even if they do send good songs. With RTÉ's severe budget cuts, I think we may be sending an RTÉ crew member with a Triangle. <_<
January 30, 200916 yr Author Which countries VOTE in the first semi-final? The countries in that semi-final and Germany, Spain and the UK. :)
January 30, 200916 yr The countries in that semi-final and Germany, Spain and the UK. :) Hmm, well not too bad for Portugal, although without France it'll be very tough. Are the semi-final votes with jury or without it?
January 30, 200916 yr Author It'll be like last year, 9 countries through televoting and 1 country by jury. :)
