February 4, 200916 yr Author A taster - I liked this song and never knew who sang it ... so now I know! lYvg6cTOi9E Norma
February 4, 200916 yr Author Coldplay clone alarm!!! I don't mind it actually ... mind you ... I'm not one of those people who dislike Coldplay (I neither like nor dislike them really - but I do like a few of their songs). Having said that ... I don't think he's like Coldplay at all! Norma
February 4, 200916 yr Hehe, i don't like or dislike Coldplay (i love Viva La Vida), but he seems to me very similar to Coldplay  . Perhaps is a music style on mode right now in UK and you hear it enough to don't see them similar to each other...

Perhaps is a music style on mode right now in UK and you hear it enough to don't see them similar to each other... Well there's a thread going on in the 'indie' section at the moment about Coldplay 'plagiarising' another song. Its a bit daft really, as I have to be honest ... there are loads of song (over the last 10 years) that have bits that sound like others ... its inevitible that songs start to sound alike ... let alone styles. People just really seem to have it in for Coldplay. Personally ... I think Kings of Leon's Sex on Fire sounds (at the beginning) as though it has nicked more than a few bars from Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark ... but no-one gives them a hard time over it. Norma PS - what do you think of Gary being voted 'best British songwriter'? As much as I like him and he has written more than a few really nice songs ... there's no way I'd put him at number 1. Not even sure he'd be in my top 10. I don't think any songwriter from the last 15 years would be in my top 10!
February 4, 200916 yr In an objective top, no - i won't put someone from the last ten years. I have one for the subjective top as high as Lennon and Cat Stevens, but that is another thing. People forget too quick the music when someone is out of the media. Only The Beatles keep it strong, but where is Freddie Mercury? Where is Cat Stevens? I am sure if i will think i would have another forgotten ones ... . In my top 20 i would def. have the one from Depeche Mode and Pet Shop Boys . I am not soo keen on the songs Gary writes for others (apart from the Christmas song  ). I heard the ones for John B (forgot the whole name) and those for Katherine Jenkins... perhaps he has better one, which i didn't heard.

I like a few he wrote for Delta Goodrem and of the songs he wrote for Katherine Jenkins ... I only like Viva Tonight ... a fabulous song ... but one that would be a lead in a west end musical ... not the pop charts. I think the best stuff he wrote was for Take That the first time round and songs from his second album ... which was a chart failure ... despite having probably the best song on it that he's ever written ... Lie To Me. That poll was pants ... no Ray Davies, no Elvis Costello, no JEFF LYNNE!!!!! Norma

March 2, 200916 yr I really like this song. It makes a change to have something with a positive, uplifting message. God knows we all need a bit of cheering up sometimes! I think Gary Go has a bright future ahead of him.
April 3, 200916 yr Author Gary Go's new single out 11th May. http://www.garygo.com/ I must admit ... I think I may just be a little more excited about seeing Gary Go than Take That at this moment in time! Norma

April 30, 200916 yr Here the full support: http://www.mtv.co.uk/artists/take-that/new...nnounce-support Wel, apart from Script, i am not very keen on the support acts (to say it nice) but i presume they will have a lot of success whith them, as apart from Gary Go, all are "in" in UK.

I normally don't bother with the support act - the only one that I truly, truly enjoyed was Beverley Knight - and bits of Sophie Ellis Bextor. Gary Go is opening each set and 'The Lady' should be a good chance to have a bit of a dance until Take That come on! I'd love Ga Ga to do the 'guest' bit in Relight My Fire!!!!!! Norma
May 1, 200916 yr Author Thought' I'd drop this in here! Been doing a little Lady GaGa viewing on Youtube! Love this! kuUieuT8QMo I am so glad she's doing the Manchester gigs I'm going to. Norma Edited May 1, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
May 1, 200916 yr Gary Go is really terrible, don't see the attraction is him. Seems a bit pointless having GaGa supporting Take That, she is much bigger than they are right now. :P
