Posted February 8, 200916 yr There is a piers morgan documentary on next Thursday 9pm ITV1.Thought it may be interesting. www.dailymail.co.uk scroll down right hand side to Piers morgan and read his report re life in hollywood and brits trying to get acting parts etc etc.and living there. D is not mentionedin his write up in the mail but it give an insight into what happens there. I think it will be good as his reports on Dubai and Monte carlo were. I havent put up his report as it is very long but the documentary should be good and you never know!!
February 11, 200916 yr Thanks for the info, Preston. Piers Morgan is not someone I'd choose to watch. If there was someone on it I did want to see, I'd have to record and whizz through to his/her bit.
February 11, 200916 yr I do enjoy the ones where he is looking around sandbanks..especially now the bubble has burst! and dubia? that ridiculous palm tree island arrangement of houses geared to fleece the westerners who have ludicous amount of cash to waste! - dont I recall somewhere stating dont build your houses on sand.....I wouldnt feel at ease living on that at all. February 12, 200916 yr Author I think Baytree you may like Piers morgans relaxed style of documentary, quite different from other things he has done.,
February 12, 200916 yr I'll watch if he ever does one on Glasgow which I very much doubt. It's honest and down to earth, not one of those cities of excess which he seems to favour, and in which I have no interest whatsoever.
February 12, 200916 yr Author Sorry Baytree,. I haven t the interest i Hollykwood but my reason for w
February 12, 200916 yr Author Sorry it posted itself again before I had finished. My reason for watching is not an interest in Hollywood although I like to see how the other half lives but you never know who you might see.!!
February 12, 200916 yr Especially people whose name begins with D. i'd wake Mum up if I put the TV on. i'll have to rely on you to watch.
February 12, 200916 yr Author You didnt miss much Meg. It wasnt so good as his documentaries on Dubai and monte carlo.Unfortunately he did some focus on Sharon Osborne nuf said but Mel B came across as her usual no nonsense self and is very much at home there. What did register with me was the british actor who had appeared in several tv shows here and auditoned for a one liner in a show to find 40 others there with him. He still after being there three years had not had a part.Ian Gryfydd the welsh asctor had ben there seven years before he made it and Matt Goss went there to get away from the british press, sounds familiar and he now was very successful with a new album coming out and other projects alongside. However they dont want to know if you have failed at all. Piers interviewed the top paparazzi firm who mentioned that they considered their work now part of promotion. According to Piers the British are very much sought after there at this time and even he himself was getting a lot of attention from them. He also said it was the place to come to reinvent yourself. He also interviewed Lady victoria Hervey and she I do remember getting constantly a horrible battering from the press here but in a lot of ways it is sad, they have lifestyle coaches, trainers and goodness knows what else, I think he said even their dogs do but perhaps he was joking.
February 13, 200916 yr I found it quite interesting. Not that such a place would be for the ordinary people. Only people who have a bigger ego than anything else. Not counting Darius as his girlfriend/fiancee lives there.
February 13, 200916 yr I think Natasha has always tried to distance herself from "the pursuit of image" culture and to provide as normal and stable a childhood as she can for her children, although she obviously works out a bit to keep fit and healthy.
February 14, 200916 yr I didn't watch it as i knew that Darius properly wouldn't of been mentioned :( ....it would've been Lovely if he had been though, esp as he really Loves living out there,it would've been interesting to see how he's fitting in with everyone :D
February 14, 200916 yr I bet he enjoys his life there just as much without a mention. It would have been nice to just see what he was doing
February 15, 200916 yr Yeah i completly agree with you Meg,hopefully that wuld've included seeing him in the studio!!He seems to of settled in over there very well.,which is Great.....just missing him being over here more often!!
February 15, 200916 yr When the album is ready, he'll be here. I love the demo songs and those were rejected as newer ones were even better.
February 16, 200916 yr For how long though, megham? The questions are: Is he prepared to come to the UK several months before the planned release of the album and raise awareness that its release is imminent? Is he prepared to slog up and down the country promoting his singles and to stay on to do a tour? It's been 5 years - that's a long time in music - Darius needs to treat this album like a debut one and put the same sort of passion into it, and that means being a bit more selfish and putting his personal commitments to others on the backburner. I'm not convinced he's ready for that.

February 16, 200916 yr Author QUOTE Baytree - It's been 5 years - that's a long time in music - Darius needs to treat this album like a debut one and put the same sort of passion into it, and that means being a bit more selfish and putting his personal commitments to others on the backburner. I'm not convinced he's ready for that. I have to agree with Baytree and Surrogate in what they say. I see Natasha is off to make a new film in Canada and has been in New york for the Heart charity. Time Darius focussed more on HIS career. One cannot just suddenly step back in the limelight after such a long layoff. In itself it will mean twice as much work and as Baytree says he needs to put his his personal commitments to others on the backboiler afterall Natasha is carrying virtually on as normal with her career. Many other artistes have the same situation but carry on regardless.
February 16, 200916 yr His plans were to spend quite a time here. his style has changed and that's what happens when you continue producung things. A tour would depend on the success of the new releases. GWTW took a lot of his time last year.
