In the late 90's and early 00's covering a Bee Gees number was a guaranteed hit! Until reality contestants One True Voice killed the revival off...

1995 N-Trance Stayin Alive 2

1996 Take That How Deep Is Your Love 1

1996 Boyzone Words 1

1997 Pras Michel Feat. Ol' Dirty bast*rd And Mya Ghetto Supastar (That Is What You Are) (Chorus featured reworked lyrics from Islands In The Stream) 2

1998 Céline Dion Immortality 5

1998 911 More Than A Woman 2

1998 Steps Tragedy 1

2001 Steps Chain Reaction 2

2001 Destiny's Child Emotion 3

2002 One True Voice Sacred Trust 2

Now the unofficial comic relief single (Rob Brydon) is a cover of Islands In The Stream, which the Bee Gee's originally wrote for country crooners Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. It also formed the basis of the chorus of ex-Fugees members Pras Michel's top2 smash Ghetto Supastar.

Which are your best and worst choices from the cover craze?

I think Take That did a fair cover of HDIYL (not great but certainly not bad). I did however love the video ... I know it was weird ... but I thought the video was better than the song.

Worst would probably be Boyzone's Words. I do like Ronan Keating as a person ... but I really don't understand how he got to be a professional singer with that truly irritating voice.

Steps doing Tragedy was shi te ... but I didn't really like that song even sung by the Bee Gees.

Destiny's Child did the best cover of that lot. Even though I've heard the original I never really connected the two. I like the Céline Dion song too. ^_^

Boyzone is the worst from that list. :puke2: Then I either don't mind or haven't heard the rest.

Never new Emotion was originally done by the Bee Gee's!
i think Steps done the best job as in making the song their own at the time but i also like take that's version of how deep is your love although in general i think it's an average songs,,,words by boyzone was terrible
Steps - Tragedy >>>>> Everything else on this list :)
