Posted February 10, 200916 yr Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek has hinted that the band are set to play festival shows this summer – despite frontman Pete Doherty having solo album commitments this year. Ficek, who also records solo material under the alias Roses, Kings, Castles, said that after the release and promotion of Doherty's forthcoming album, 'Grace/Wastelands' (out March 16), the London band would be gearing up for action again. "After the promo of Peter's stuff we'll up a gear again and hit the Babyshambles trail once more," he wrote on his blog at Ficekblog.wordpress.com . He added: "We're hoping to get some live shows in 'Shambles style, there's a few festivals lined up but mainly I think the early part of the year is going to be taken up with Peter's solo stuff." Doherty will head out on a solo tour at the end of this month, kicking off the jaunt with two Shockwaves NME Awards shows at the London Shepherd's Bush Empire (February 22) and at the Glasgow Barrowlands (24).
