well this looks interesting!!! Steve Carrell is gonna star in a remake of an old Mel Brooks Spy spoof comedy TV show called Get Smart, where he plays a secret agent called maxwell smart, with the rumour doing the rounds at the moment being that his partner is gonna be played by Kristin Kreuk :wub: B)

 

thinking if it has any imput by the people behind 40 yr old virgin or anchorman could be the comedy to fill the void left by austin powers. a very cool comedy indeed (i hope that they wont bring in the bewiched writers :puke2: )

however at the moment we've got Little Miss Sunshine which is doing great guns at the North American Box Office for this kind of indie comedy film

I've seen it. It's a rather sweet film. It's not amazing but it's a cut above your normal Saturday night comedy.

 

Steve Carrell is excellent. I think it's the first time I've seen a dramatic performance from him.

 

Alan Arkin as the perverted Grandad is the standout though.

that character is up there with the dad out of Pretty Persuasion. one of the characters of the year!!!

 

(however must say that the end gave me the creeps as it gave me visions of what could be the spark that greenlights Little Man 2: Little WOman :lol: :lol: )
