I know this is pretty late, but I haven't seen a topic on this.

 

Second best song of 2009 so far. :o Flo Rida returns with Ke$ha (I believe that's how she puts her name), with the track Right Round, produced by Dr. Luke, whilst it samples Dead or Alive's 'You Spin Me [Like A Record]'.

 

 

It's really good! It's already reached #1 on US iTunes without a vid.

And yes, before anyone says, it IS very Katy Pery-ish. Maybe because it was produced by Dr. Luke.

We do have a thread on this in here...somewhere but yeah, this is a really good track from him I think. I think I've actually liked every Flo Rida single I've heard and the songs he did with Lady GaGa and Michelle Williams. Maybe I'm coming round to the genre.

Mail On Sunday (imo) is pretty $h!t, bar the songs that feature other artists.

 

So in other words, his solo tracks are pretty naff.

I'm of the same opinion, despite liking what I've heard from him I haven't thought about listening to the album.

I am loving this song. A Katy Perry tag would probably give it more success than this Ke$ha person, whoever she/it is. I almost thought it was Mika on first listen :lol:

I wonder if he can get to #1 here?

 

I reckon it'll obviously be a massive hit in America, maybe Top 3 for definite over here.

I adore this, I think she sounds like Katy too, but don't think the song itself is very Perryish - and all the better for it :P

I can see why people think this is similar to Katy Perry, this Kesha bird does sound like her, and the backing track is very similar to 'I Kissed A Girl', although I guess if both tracks share the same producer that explains why.

I've never really liked his songs but I love this song so much! I never usually like songs like this but this is a guilty pleasure, I love the beat and everything. Would love to see it get number one to be honest.
