Posted February 11, 200916 yr I know this is pretty late, but I haven't seen a topic on this. Second best song of 2009 so far. :o Flo Rida returns with Ke$ha (I believe that's how she puts her name), with the track Right Round, produced by Dr. Luke, whilst it samples Dead or Alive's 'You Spin Me [Like A Record]'. bnmkoj_NNXo It's really good! It's already reached #1 on US iTunes without a vid.
February 11, 200916 yr Author And yes, before anyone says, it IS very Katy Pery-ish. Maybe because it was produced by Dr. Luke.
February 11, 200916 yr We do have a thread on this in here...somewhere but yeah, this is a really good track from him I think. I think I've actually liked every Flo Rida single I've heard and the songs he did with Lady GaGa and Michelle Williams. Maybe I'm coming round to the genre.
February 11, 200916 yr I like it but had no idea it was Dr Luke. Can't hear anything Perry-esque about it though... :heehee: Topic HERE.
February 11, 200916 yr I've had this for a while now, its beginning to tire on me  loved it for the first couple of week though ^_^
February 11, 200916 yr I like it but had no idea it was Dr Luke. Can't hear anything Perry-esque about it though... :heehee: Topic HERE. Kesha sounds almost exactly the same as Katy Perry to me.
February 11, 200916 yr Author I like it but had no idea it was Dr Luke. Can't hear anything Perry-esque about it though... :heehee: Topic HERE. Woops sorry my fault, Could someone please merge the topics? :heehee: If anything I was surprised it was by Dr. Luke, but tbh, Flo-Rida is pretty 'Pop'. Kesha sounds almost exactly the same as Katy Perry to me. Kesha sounds better, and is probably better live. [Katy Perry at the Grammys the other night, oh dear. :/ ]
February 11, 200916 yr It's rather fabulous tbh :o All of his singles thus far have been amaze but I daren't invest in an album :(
February 11, 200916 yr Author It's rather fabulous tbh :o All of his singles thus far have been amaze but I daren't invest in an album :( Mail On Sunday (imo) is pretty $h!t, bar the songs that feature other artists. So in other words, his solo tracks are pretty naff.
February 11, 200916 yr Ke$ha sounds better, and is probably better live. [Katy Perry at the Grammys the other night, oh dear. :/ ] Oh yes, that performance was rather tragic. It's rather fabulous tbh :o All of his singles thus far have been amaze but I daren't invest in an album :( I'm of the same opinion, despite liking what I've heard from him I haven't thought about listening to the album.
February 11, 200916 yr I am loving this song. A Katy Perry tag would probably give it more success than this Ke$ha person, whoever she/it is. I almost thought it was Mika on first listen
February 11, 200916 yr Author I wonder if he can get to #1 here? I reckon it'll obviously be a massive hit in America, maybe Top 3 for definite over here.
February 11, 200916 yr I adore this, I think she sounds like Katy too, but don't think the song itself is very Perryish - and all the better for it :P
February 11, 200916 yr I can see why people think this is similar to Katy Perry, this Kesha bird does sound like her, and the backing track is very similar to 'I Kissed A Girl', although I guess if both tracks share the same producer that explains why.
February 11, 200916 yr I've never really liked his songs but I love this song so much! I never usually like songs like this but this is a guilty pleasure, I love the beat and everything. Would love to see it get number one to be honest.
February 12, 200916 yr this song is very catchy...it has a great chorus...big props to flo rida for this one
February 13, 200916 yr I've never really liked his songs but I love this song so much! I never usually like songs like this but this is a guilty pleasure, I love the beat and everything. Would love to see it get number one to be honest. Ditto. Low was $h!t. But it's the Dead Or Alive sample that I like best about this...
