Posted February 13, 200916 yr New MySpace blog- There have been various stories in the newspapers this week - and it is true that the five girls will be doing various bits and pieces on their own outside of Girls Aloud this year. However, we can confirm that there will be a brand new Girls Aloud album next year - and that the band have just signed a new deal with Polydor/ Fascination for a minimum of three more albums. So, there's a lot more to come from Girls Aloud. Stay tuned to girlsaloud.co.uk for all accurate news on the band. Bring it on :dance:
February 13, 200916 yr A fourth?! We havent even had a third yet! I mean i would of liked a new one the same time as all the rest - November this year, but the fact the girls will be doing another and a further three for that matter is amazing news. So this means Cheryl WILL be doing this years X Factor which can only be a help for the band again. Looking forward to the tour now! I say we will the first single off the SEVENTH album released end of January with the album mid Feb. We shall have GA up until at least 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

February 13, 200916 yr I don't mean to put a dampener on things but contracts can be cancelled half way through :lol: ... That said, It's nice to know that if nothing happens between them, then they will be making more albums :cheer: I wonder if one of them will be another Greatest Hits :wub: Also does anyone get a feeling that they will be doing a "Deluxe" version of 'Out of Control' (With 'Memory of You' plus a few others on) to fill the gap? Coz they could easily fit another 3 singles before the year is over... and not every track on the original 'OOC' is single material... Hmmm...
February 13, 200916 yr Yeah the deluxe edition is definately a possiblilty, im sure all involved would love to make OOC their second (first studio) million selling album. I'm thinking it's going to be two more studio albums and then the GH, thats the only way it could work right?! In 2012 it will be 10 years since they formed (OH MY GOD, that just hit me!) so it would be nice if we had 35 singles and a three disc celebratory album package.

February 13, 200916 yr Fantastic to see they plan on giving us at least three more albums. Hopefully the fact they're waiting until 2010 means that will try and do a bit of promotion intenationally aswell.
February 14, 200916 yr A Deluxe Edition would be great until 2010, including a few more new tracks that were originally left of the album along with the legend "Memory of You" because they could possibly release a 4th single from the album with one of their new songs. Can't wait for the new album as well! Fingers crossed for another album like "Tangled Up" and make sure they delete any tracks that sound like "Fix Me Up"

February 16, 200916 yr i love them so much, but.... Spice Girls has a 3 album deal with Virgin after Spice World, and Forever was the only one released, granted the GH was released in 2007, but what im trying to say is GA arn't 100% going to be around in 2012, this year could prove make or break, as if they have time on their own they may find they dont want to return to the band, or could return and miss their solo projects and independance. my predictions: November 2009: New single and re-issued OOC August 2010: New single and album January 2011: Split confirmed March 2011: Greatest Hits
February 16, 200916 yr another studio album will be great to get plus we know we will definity get a greatest hits 2 as by after another studio album they will done 3 studio album since the previous greatest hits. also if they do a greatest hits then and do split you are more or less guaranteed a further best of collection about 3 years after they split but i dont think they will split the girls know solo careers from group members usually fail,,they should stay together if the oublic are still buying their music or going to concerts and go on and become the new bananarama as in a girl band that waits together for longer than 5 years
February 16, 200916 yr This is great news, and with all the talk of solo projects and splits its gives a bit of stability to the band's image. I was assuming it would be a 2 studio and 1 GH type deal, as they will have done 4 studio albums since GH1 if that is the case (though possibly not more singles than GH1 as bands in general are releasing less singles from albums unless you're female and Barbadian (e.g. TU only had 3), and there is a good chance by then they will want to pursue other interests or wind things down. They've already lasted longer than most Girl Groups manage! But yes, a 10th anniversary GH as a swansong with a huge new single would be a great way to end things. As mentioned above though, it could still all go to the wall before this as things as never guaranteed but its an encouraging sign. SHOCKED they are actually taking a year off for once! No new album for '09! Apalling! :rofl: With the recent "Deluxe" album trend and the success of OOC, combined with the fact they will have masses of exposure in Q4 (the most lucrative sales period) again with Cheryl on X-Factor, OOC deluxe looks likely. But they already sort of did that this Xmas with releasing the 2disc version a month after the standard and just in time for Xmas. It bugs me when bands milk it so bad with three versions of an album, but at least if this one has some new content, it might be worth it. I'm thinking slap She and Memory of You on there with another couple of new songs (say 15/16 tracks seems right) and have one of the new ones as a lead single, or Memory of you. If it goes down well they could even do a 2nd Deluxe single. This should see them achieve triple platinum status :D Edited February 16, 200916 yr by spicefunk
