I think I've decided. This comeback is officially disappointing.

Where's the Whitney that gave us Didn't We Almost Have It All; One Moment In Time; The Greatest Love Of All; How Will I Know; I Have Nothing; Saving All My Love For You; I Wanna Dance With Somebody; It's Not Right But It's Okay; All The Man That I Need; My Love Is Your Love; Where Do Broken Hearts Go; I Learned From The Best etc. etc. ?

Her back catalogue is packed full of classics, moreso than many of her 'rivals'. I just find that nothing on this album even comes close to the old Whitney. If it's not a song dedicated to the lovers or the haters it's a song about how she's back. It's a good album but it feels beneath her, it should be some randomer singing these songs, not Whitney Houston.

I'm glad she's having success with this return as I've been waiting for this album for so long, but now I'm listening to this I just can't help but feel disappointed. It's just not the same, listening to her talk through most of the album, rather than the over the top vocals.

I'm really getting into this album now its getting a lot of undeserved bad reviews, its brilliant and so is Million Dollar Bill especially the Freemasons Remix. The album was never going to live up her classics, people have some beyond wack expectations if they were expecting this to even be on par with her previous records and sound, its still really consistant nevertheless

Yeah, it's pretty crazy that people were going into this expecting vocals similar to that of her earlier records. Come on guys, she's done a lot of damage to her body, and we all know the ageing process can affect singer's vocals. As a whole, the album is very good, and although she doesn't have a same set of pipes, the soul and emotion is still there.

It's not that I was expecting her to have the same vocals after all the obvious damage she's done to her voice, but the actual songs disappoint. Nothing on there compares to her previous hits, voice or not. "Million Dollar Bill" comes close, but a lot of it disappoints. I can actually listen to every track (though "I Look To You" is a bit patchy) but only about 3 or 4 please me.

Maybe it needs a few more listens.

Oprah was hilarious in that performance !

'Million Dollar Bill' has really grown on me! It's so funky! ... My other highlights from the album include 'Nothin' But Love' and 'For The Lovers'

Although I agree with Aaron the album as a whole hasn't really lived up to what I was expecting, and not because of her voice, but some of the songs are just a bit meh for me! I still enjoy most of the songs ^_^ perhaps it'll grow more.

I'll agree that there's no "standout smash" on the record, but it's consistent as hell and very emotive.
Yess, it's a very consistent album! and she's still one hell of a singer.

The album is good nonetheless but I agree with you guys, there just something missing, but at least she got back on her feet, & I'm impressed with the sales so far. A Song For You has-grown on me a lot lately.
