jack straw was right to allow the curfew to be lifted for his fiancee, but i hope he would also do the same for anyone in that horrible situation

Tweed's victim unhappy over curfew lift

The teenager who was attacked by Jade Goody's boyfriend has claimed that his curfew should not have been lifted.

 

Jack Tweed, 21, was expected to be home by 7pm on his wedding day until Justice Secretary Jack Straw stepped in yesterday and agreed to waive the order for one night only.

 

Tweed was told that he had to comply with the strict curfew and wear an electronic tag after being granted early release from prison last month. He had been sentenced to 18 months behind bars in September after being found guilty of assaulting Daniel Steele with a golf club.

 

Goody, who is suffering from terminal cancer, was said to be "absolutely thrilled" after Straw made his decision yesterday.

 

However, speaking to The Mirror, Steele insisted: "I don't think it's right. They've bent rules. If it was anyone else they wouldn't be able to do it."

 

Announcing his decision yesterday, Straw insisted that Tweed was not given special treatment, explaining: "It is crucial that offenders are treated equally within the rules regardless of the publicity surrounding their case, but I was satisfied that it was reasonable to allow this."

 

Steele was 16 when he was attacked by Goody's partner in December 2006. In a newspaper interview earlier this month, he insisted that he "could have been killed" in the attack.

 

Speaking at the time, he added: "Jack Tweed is an animal and he should still be in jail. I am angry and upset to see that he has been released so early."

Yeah right, and we have to put up with all the bullsh!t and just not be allowed to criticise her just because she has cancer... Bollocks... At the end of the day, I'm no hypocrite, if someone continues to take what I feel are questionable actions I'll call them on it, sick or healthy... If she showed a little dignity and class like Micheal J Fox, Mo Mowlam or Caron Keating, she'd get my respect and compassion... There have been individuals that I've disliked who've had things like this and it actually ended up making them better people in the end, their characters and whole outlooks changed for the better when they knew that they had such little time left on earth. I actually think in a lot of ways this whole cancer thing has made Jade Goody worse.. I cant respect her, she was a vile individual in health and even worse when she's sick... If by some utter miracle these kids DO make it and become stable, emotionally well rounded individuals, it'll be because of their father, whom I feel, in complete opposition to Jade, is the one who's shown the real dignity and is the one individual in this whole sorry affair who truly does have the interests of these children at heart.....

 

I would like to put this point to the defenders of Jade/Max Clifford's actions....

 

The actor Charlton Heston was diagnosed with Alzheimers, and it was established that he'd started to show some of the symptoms of this disease when he CHOSE to go to Denver and speak at an NRA rally defending the rights of people to have all sorts of dangerous firearms around where kids could pick them up and go to school and start shooting up their classmates. This was mere WEEKS after the horrifying events at Columbine High School, he actually got up on stage and, holding a rifle aloft, said the words "From my cold, dead hands", I mean WTF...?????? Yeah, never mind the cold, dead hands of the kids that were shot to death, eh Chuck....? <_< I ask this question, should Heston have been given a "free pass" simply because he had an illness for his utterly contemptable actions.. He later then appeared on Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine" documentary in a perfectly lucid state, and far from being remorseful, he actually made one or two extremely offensive and racist comments, should we just "forgive and forget" because the old fella was unwell....?

 

Also, should we just forget about the whole Ronnie Reagan, "arms to Iran" thing because HE started to get a bit forgetful.....?

The doting young mum wants new husband Jack Tweed to continue seeing Bobby, five, and Freddie, four—because they have grown close to him.

 

But the boys’ real dad, TV presenter Jeff Brazier thinks that Tweed—currently on prison parole after attacking a man with a golf club—is not the sort of person he wants his kids to be around.

 

And he is refusing to allow Jack any formal access rights.

Pals of Jade fear the terminally ill star will soon be too weak to negotiate with her ex. But she has said she will use lawyers if necessary to try to get ex-footballer Jeff, 29, to agree to a deal.

 

Last night a friend of Jeff’s said: “This is a very sensitive situation and he is finding what’s going on difficult to deal with.

“He loved Jade for a period and obviously is devastated about what she’s going through—but some tough decisions need to be made.

“Jeff disagrees with Jade, and doesn’t think Jack is the sort of role model who should be in his boys’ life going forward.

“It might be unfair but he views Jack as immature and irresponsible, and doesn’t trust him enough to be a good dad to his two young children.”

Dressed in a white Pineapple tracksuit, she excitedly flashed her engagement ring out of the copter’s window at cheering well-wishers.

Earlier, Jack left Jade’s house for his stag do—and the tragic couple said farewell to each other with a poignant, lingering kiss.

When Jack was asked how he was feeling, he replied: “Nervous.”

 

Jade has already accepted that Jeff—who she split from soon after Freddie’s birth in 2004—will get full custody of the boys. He currently looks after them once a fortnight.

 

But Jade is desperate for Jack and her mum Jackiey—both big presences in Bobby and Freddie’s lives—to continue being involved in their upbringing.

 

Recently Jeff rebuffed attempts by Jackiey to gain custody of her grandsons. But he HAS agreed to allow her minor visitation rights.

However, Jeff—who had a volatile relationship with Jade for the two years they were together—has put his foot down over Jack.

A source said: “Jade has proven time and time again that she’s not prepared to back down from a fight.

“But she is becoming more ill so is losing her determination. That’s why she wants it sorted now.”

 

And last night Jade’s PR advisor Max Clifford made her wishes clear—in words that are set to infuriate Jeff.

 

When asked who will care for the boys after Jade dies, Max said: “Jeff obviously is the boys’ natural father. It will be a combination of Jeff, Jade’s mum, Jack and Jade’s grandparents.”

 

One major issue Jade HAS backed down on is who will administer the £3.3 MILLION she is leaving to Bobby and Freddie in a trust fund.

 

None of her estate will go to Jack, Jackiey or Jeff.

 

And close associates have convinced the star NOT to allow Jack or Jackiey to be able to decide how the money is spent.

Instead, a three-person board— which will include Max Clifford and Jade’s TV producer friend Kate Jackson—will be set up.

Experts say Jade is most likely to opt for a basic “accumulation and maintenance trust”, where Bobby and Freddie would be entitled to all the cash at an age decided by their mum. It is usually 18.

The trustees can use some of the money for the boys’ maintenance, including schooling, as they grow up.

If the whole amount is invested it could reach a staggering £7.26 MILLION by 2021, when Bobby reaches 18. But a lot of it will be spent before that on the lads’ education.

Currently Bobby and Freddie attend a prestigious £2,500-a-term private school in Essex. When they turn seven, Jade has earmarked a different school for them—which currently costs around £6,500 a term.

 

Last night a source said: “Jade has been absolutely single-minded about building up a fund for the boys, and her determination has grown as her prognosis has got worse.

“She wants to go to her grave knowing she’s done all she can—and that there are procedures in place so none of the money will be squandered and all of it will be used to give her boys the life she never had.”

 

The £3.3 million is made up from canny Jade’s media and property deals. She has always told Jack he will not get any of it—even though he will be her widower and they have no pre-nuptial agreement.

 

A source said: “Jade has been perfectly clear. She wants Jack to have her personal effects and a few treats, probably her car. But the money she’s made is for the boys. And the property will eventually be for them too.”

 

Around £1.8 million of the fortune has been made since Jade was diagnosed with cancer last August. She has not touched a penny of it, as her sole goal was putting away money for her kids.

At least £500,000 will come from book sales of her cancer diary set to be published after she dies. The stricken star has been secretly writing it from her hospital bed.

 

The remainder comes from magazine and TV deals.

Jade’s biggest cheque is from OK!, which has paid £700,000 for the exclusive rights to her wedding. Other deals, including regular work for New magazine, add up to £100,000.

Jade got a further £100,000 from Living TV for her fly-on-the-wall series. That agreement ends with the filming of her wedding today.

She has also made £100,000 from three major interviews—and will get another £100,000 for an ITV interview on Piers Morgan’s new chat show.

 

And Jade has made a large sum from setting up shots with paparazzi photographers, who then split the proceeds they receive from sales with her.

Last night one prominent snapper said most photographers were giving Jade the bulk of the money to demonstrate their support.

“Even the paparazzi want to help Jade make the most amount of money,” he said.

 

Meanwhile Jade’s property portfolio is estimated to be worth more than £1.5 million.

Her current home—a sprawling barn conversion in Essex—was bought for £715,000 in August 2007, and is now estimated to be worth only slightly less, at £700,000.

She also owns two other properties in Essex. One was bought for £415,000 in June 2005 and is now estimated to be worth £550,000.

The other, a three-storey town house she has rented out for around £1,500 a month, is valued at around £325,000.

 

All three properties were bought with the help of bank loans, but the outstanding amount owing is expected to be easily covered by her recent earnings.

 

'Stag' misses curfew after day of boozing

 

JADE’S husband-to-be broke his curfew last night, arriving home late from his boozy stag do.

Under the terms of his early release from jail for assault, Jack Tweed should have been back at his parents’ house by 7pm.

Just before the deadline, his mother Mary could be seen on the phone at her home in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. Jack, 21, finally dashed through the door eight minutes late.

He began the day in the King William IV pub in nearby Chigwell with six mates and his 19-year-old brother Lewis.

Despite being at the pub for less than an hour the boys ran up a bar bill of £62.65 after necking dry martinis, Guinness, rosé wine and beers.

 

One onlooker said: “They were certainly getting through the drinks and having lots of laughs. Despite all the smiles you could tell Jack had something on his mind. He seemed quiet and a bit withdrawn.

“His friends were laughing and joking but he didn’t seem to be joining in as much as normal.”

Leaving briefly to visit a cash machine, Jack said: “I can’t really talk about anything because of the magazine deal–we need the money.

“I’ve already got into trouble with Jade this morning about it. I’m going to have lots to drink.”

 

After a bite to eat the party moved on to the Slug And Lettuce pub in South Woodford where Jack and his pals downed bright pink glasses of Woo Woos and shots of Jagerbombs –a shot of Jagermeister dropped into a glass of Red Bull.

After one of the party began throwing ice cubes, they were asked to leave by staff and they moved on to the town’s trendy Lizard Lounge.

 

At one point Jack simulated a sex act on a male pal who had unzipped his trousers.

When they finally left the bar, Jack and a friend climbed in to a black convertible car.

Then they pulled down their trousers, tucked their private parts between their legs and began waving at gawping Saturday shoppers.

 

Hubby could be in jail when she dies

 

SCARED Jade may die ALONE—because her new husband Jack could soon be in jail again.

The 21-year-old is due before magistrates in nine days’ time—March 3—to face another assault charge.

If found guilty he could be landed with a further six-month prison term. The part-time model is accused of attacking cabbie Stephen Wilkins outside Club 195 in Epping, Essex, last May.

 

Jack has denied the allegation.

He is currently on early release from prison for a separate offence.

But he has been tagged and must stick to strict conditions, including a curfew, to avoid going back inside.

Last September he was jailed for 18 months for attacking a 16-year-old with a golf club. His sentence came just two weeks after Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

 

Jack had pleaded not guilty—then asked the court for a suspended sentence so he could care for Jade.

But the judge said at the time that Jack would serve nine months before being released on licence.

He served just four months and was let out in January.

Just before the deadline, his mother Mary could be seen on the phone at her home in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. Jack, 21, finally dashed through the door eight minutes late.

He began the day in the King William IV pub in nearby Chigwell with six mates and his 19-year-old brother Lewis.

Despite being at the pub for less than an hour the boys ran up a bar bill of £62.65 after necking dry martinis, Guinness, rosé wine and beers.

 

One onlooker said: “They were certainly getting through the drinks and having lots of laughs. Despite all the smiles you could tell Jack had something on his mind. He seemed quiet and a bit withdrawn.

“His friends were laughing and joking but he didn’t seem to be joining in as much as normal.”

Leaving briefly to visit a cash machine, Jack said: “I can’t really talk about anything because of the magazine deal–we need the money.

“I’ve already got into trouble with Jade this morning about it. I’m going to have lots to drink.”

 

After a bite to eat the party moved on to the Slug And Lettuce pub in South Woodford where Jack and his pals downed bright pink glasses of Woo Woos and shots of Jagerbombs –a shot of Jagermeister dropped into a glass of Red Bull.

After one of the party began throwing ice cubes, they were asked to leave by staff and they moved on to the town’s trendy Lizard Lounge.

 

At one point Jack simulated a sex act on a male pal who had unzipped his trousers.

When they finally left the bar, Jack and a friend climbed in to a black convertible car.

Then they pulled down their trousers, tucked their private parts between their legs and began waving at gawping Saturday shoppers.

SCARED Jade may die ALONE—because her new husband Jack could soon be in jail again.

The 21-year-old is due before magistrates in nine days’ time—March 3—to face another assault charge.If found guilty he could be landed with a further six-month prison term. The part-time model is accused of attacking cabbie Stephen Wilkins outside Club 195 in Epping, Essex, last May.

 

Jack has denied the allegation.

He is currently on early release from prison for a separate offence.

But he has been tagged and must stick to strict conditions, including a curfew, to avoid going back inside.

Last September he was jailed for 18 months for attacking a 16-year-old with a golf club. His sentence came just two weeks after Jade was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

 

Jack had pleaded not guilty—then asked the court for a suspended sentence so he could care for Jade.

But the judge said at the time that Jack would serve nine months before being released on licence.

He served just four months and was let out in January.

 

Of course Jeff is absolutely correct to try and stop HIS kids being exposed to a fukkin' LOWLIFE piece of sh!t who almost killed a teenage kid...... Christ, any good, responsible parent WOULD do anything in their power to stop their children being exposed to such an individual..... I fully support Mr Brazier, I have said it before, and I'll say it again, he is the ONLY person who has the welfare of the children at heart... Jade needs to put distance between her and this creature for the sake of her kids, not marry the vile c/unt...... <_< And, oh, look there he is up before the "beak" on ANOTHER assault charge.. Fukkin' Chav SCUM..... :angry: Yeah, he'll cry his crocodile tears, cry like a baby, saying "Please dont put me in prison your honour, I have to look after my missus..", fool the judge and walk away from that one as well..... Yeah, such a great individual to expose two young lads to.....

 

Still, this "marriage" is just a big old fukkin' tax dodge anyway innit.....?
