February 19, 200916 yr This is the introduction to what I wrote: "Yes I am from time to time, just to add a bit of fun, I'm not really a Robbie fan, but embrace it and enjoy it........." How anyone can take that seriously, I don't know, when I include options like Robbie Williams or Kenneth Williams or Robin Williams and I say at the start it is just a bit of fun. I apologise for making a couple of posts that I thought some people might find funny.

I apologise for making a couple of posts that I thought some people might find funny. But look down the list you made ... yes it was true ... but you were rubbing it in about how successful Rob was/is and how crap Gary Barlow is! Its there plainly to see. I won't delete your posts anymore ... but if you bring Rob into conversations needlessly - I will - there is no reason for him to be mentioned at all. Yes ... he is a global superstar and Take That aren't there is no need to gloat about it! Take That are still ridiculed in the press as it is ... we know they're not taken seriously ... who cares? They're fun and frothy and they make good tunes - that is it. They'll never be famous in the States whereas Rob will certainly be one day. I suppose it is down to preferences - but I just don't like Rob and I don't want his name mentioned here ... International Superstar or not! Norma
February 19, 200916 yr It was supposed to parody people who think Robbie Williams is the best thing since sliced bread and who rubbish Take That. In other words I was trying to make a joke out of it and obviously it wasn't funny to you at least, but I think I got a few laughs from some others. I am sorry, but that was my intention. I will be good and won't try ever to be funny again on this forum.
February 19, 200916 yr It was supposed to parody people who think Robbie Williams is the best thing since sliced bread and who rubbish Take That. I don't think that was your intention at all. There was nothing funny in your post ... it was all true ... Rob is (as you quite rightly were inferring) a global superstar - there is only the US to discover the wonder of his talents. Take That will only ever be successful in the UK. But we're happy with that here! Its nice for older people, with families and children to appreciate a ... lets face it ... family act with families and children of their own. Its what makes them better now than before. But I'm not going to get into an argument over this ... his name has been mentioned far too many times now already. Norma Edited February 19, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
February 19, 200916 yr They were miming last night! The second half yes. Whilst the Pet Shop Boys appeared to be miming the first part of their performance. Fair trade-off I'd say. Having said that - the Brits Officials were asked by Five Live if Take That were miming and they said they weren't. I'm certain they mimed the second bit though. The first bit - while they were up in the air seemed live to me (especially the second time I watched it). Either way ... doesn't matter - when they sang Patience live in 2007 - they were slagged off here then. I suppose they thought ... wtf - may as well take the easy way out ... we're not going to win anyway! Besides ... the Warchild affair at Shepherd's Bush seemed to be the place to be last night - where Gary, Bono, the Killers and Coldplay performed together. And not a mime in sight! Norma Seriously ... having said all that - they should not have mimed at all! Especially as we all know that they do a perfect job most times. February 21, 200916 yr seems funny that they slagged britney for miming on X factor, and they done the same on an AWARD SHOW with absolutly NO dancing involved what so ever!! tut tut Norma!!
February 21, 200916 yr Author the difference is take that have proved them selves 100 times over that they deliver brilliantly live Britney has yet to do so
February 21, 200916 yr seems funny that they slagged britney for miming on X factor, and they done the same on an AWARD SHOW with absolutly NO dancing involved what so ever!! tut tut Norma!! Chart Addict - bugger off. I don't comment in the Britney forum so I don't see why you should come in here to do so about Take That. Besides .... at least Take That manage a whole tour live. And this Brits thing was one of a very few performances I've seen them mime in the three years since they've been back. Unlike Britney however - who has mimed at EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER TV APPEARANCES BOTH HERE AND IN EUROPE. Not even the lure of the £3.2 million she was reportedly paid by SYCO could make her sing live. Probably because ... she can't sing! And another point ... that jiggling about that she did on X-Factor ... you call that dancing? Go and watch Singing In The Rain or Top Hat if you want to see dancing ... don't look to Britney or Take That for that matter! Pete I'm now wondering if Gary's back injury was something to do with the Brits thing. He put his back out last week and they were apparently just hours away from cancelling altogether. He did look to be moving really awkwardly at the Warchild thing afterwards too. Norma Edited February 21, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
February 21, 200916 yr Author well i read about his back but he seeme dok on tonights ant and dec show, and speaking of that mark definitly sang live but i think the others mimed or i should say it looked that way to me,what you think norma

I thought Gary looked awful ... he was sitting really stiff at that piano - and later on - when he went to kick that balloon - he hardly bloody moved. I think his back is worse than he thought it was and I don't think he'll even start the comic relief climb now. Norma
February 21, 200916 yr Author i think gary will as he will be determind to start,,,i was positive gary jason and howard mimed tonight as they looked like they didnt mime on time to me,mark gave a brilliant live vocal and the 2nd half of the song i love i love it when it speeds up its such a happy song
February 21, 200916 yr Just saw the Ant & Dec performance on youtube. I thought it was great. Poor Gary looked so uncomfortable though. I watched it twice and I still can't tell if they were all singing live. I think so? Regardless, Mark really impressed me tonight. I hope it can climb a little. It is too good to flop!
February 22, 200916 yr Would say it was live for all of them, as like Norma said was a bit different to the other versions we already heard of the song
February 22, 200916 yr Author i love the live version from take that come to town that is my fave version so far i adore it......i really hope take that release a full live album soon as i think it would do very well
