Totally agree love it!

I think Smash Into You / Sweet Dreams would work much better for a few reasons.

Ego is a bonus track, is it not? The fact it was left as a bonus inclines it should be left as just that.

Plus this kind of keeps with "theme" of one uptempo, one ballad. Plus I think it would be better because Sweet Dreams isn't quite as Urban-ish in the same vein that Single Ladies and Diva were, I think it has the potential to appeal to a much wider spectrum of people. Also, I think Smash Into You is a bit more vulnerable and subtle than the previous 2 ballads released, plus it's catchy. :teresa:

Just watched the video for Ego and it's fab. A bit like Single Ladies (the fact that it's set in 1 space with 2 backing dancers) but other than that yeah it's good

It's ok i guess...a bit boring to be honest!!! and im just really not feeling the single choice at all :(

so i guess she's going for a black and white theme for all the Sasha Fierce songs then? hmmmmmmm

It's a good video, she looks amazing

Better than the Halo vid anyway :)

I'm not a huge fan of Ego, but I like the video and that new pianoy part in the song.

Looking forward to Sweet Dreams though, best single since Halo off this album!

Yeah i was wrong just listened to the album version and its the same :kink: it's just been a while since I've listened to it haha

I do like me some Ego every now and then but it's a ridiculous single with a very boring video. And why commission a (rubbish) Kanye remix and not even use it as the single version? Very odd!

I think they cancelled the idea of a remix due to the negative feedback the song was getting. I love Kanye, but it's a horrible remix.

I love "Ego". It's a nice motown influenced song, and I think it'll do well at Urban. It doesn't have much crossover appeal though, which is where "Sweet Dreams" comes into the picture (which is another great track).

'Ego' is actually quite an OK song to me, but 'Sweet Dreams' is incredible.

We neeed a sweet dreams video, it could be brilliant if done properly

I think we are getting one, I just hope it's not a live video.

Beyoncé isn't releasing "Diva" or "Ego" in the UK. They are only for the U.S.

"If I Were A Boy" was the first worldwide single

"Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" was the second worldwide single.

"Diva" was the third U.S. single.

"Halo" was the third worldwide single (fourth single in the U.S.).

"Ego" was the fifth U.S. single and the first single taken from the Deluxe Edition of the album.

"Sweet Dreams" has been announced as the fourth worldwide single (sixth single in the U.S.). It is set to be released in the UK on July 20th.

Found that on Wikipedia

I don't mind that, Sweet Dreams is a great song and should do well.

I'll be very surprised if 'Ego' does well at all in the US, I mean considering how huge 'I Am...Sasha Fierce' is, Bey's done pretty well single-wise for this career;

If I Were a Boy - 3

Single Ladies - 1

Diva - 19

Halo -5

I can see 'Ego' doing a 'Diva' and charting quite low in the H100, it's a nice track but definitely should have been left as album-only. I think 'Sweet Dreams' will round this era off really nicely, and I'm sure her album sales will continue to pick up as she continues to tour well into the end of the year.

Glad 'Sweet Dreams' is gonnabe the main release for the UK
