I'm loving the Vocoder now, and i'm sure Sarah has more than two lines.

It's quite an insult to Nicola that Sarah got some of her lines though! Especially after the same thing happened in Cant Speak French! Something I didn't like about the edit, vocoder doesn't suit Sarah at all compared to the other girls, she sounds so weird! :/ Never have been the biggest Sarah fan tbh but she didn't deserve the extra lines at all! In comparison to Nadine or Nicola ..

Nicola does get some lines in one of the chorus as well though doesn't she now. There is now just one thing that i don't like about this song atm and that is when Cheryl says "when you're not around" she just grates on me on that bit it need someone with a softer voice like Nicola or Kimberly.

Having heard the Bimbo Remix (:wub:) and the Radio Edit (:wub::wub:) I feel more confident that this might even manage top 5 now.

 

Hopefully now DOI has kicked off promo they keep it going + the tour promo should help.

 

Still buzzing from last nights performances. One of my favourite performances ever from them! :)

You really can't base this on TLK, many times have 3rd GA singles done better than the 2nd and in some cases the 1st! Even PCD, WTAT outpeaked the 'stunning' IHTP. Also Untouchable is much more commercial and suited for success than TLK would be, their upbeat song most of the time always do better than the slow ballads. I mean 'Whole Lotta History' etc are TLK-related. Where 'Untouchable' fits into the 'Sexy No No, The Show, Something Kinda Ooooh' sort-of categories.

I suppose so, if they're touring then that should give them a bit of a boost like PCD/Madonna. I'd like to see it go Top 10 but I dunno, I'm kinda doubting it.

I wouldn't say Untouchable is quite as 'in your face' as those songs you mentioned Kath (Sexy..., The Show and Something Kinda Ooooh)...it was always quite subtle on the album but the radio edit gives it a bit more oomph, I'd say it's still somewhere in between Call The Shots and the faster tracks though tempo-wise

I agree, even the radio edit of "Untouchable" isn't that exciting, it's still a bit laid back. It's more "The Loving Kind" than "The Promise" at least.

 

Radio edits don't usually do anything but I'd expect this one to do a little better. A 3 minute edit is much more appealing to me than an almost 7 minute yawner. Then again, I don't think people are usually stopped by longer version of songs if they really want it.

I still think this will go top 5/3 the only real logic some have came up against it not making top 10 has been TLK's performance as well as sales in general. As you can see the least popular songs and in many people's opinions, GA's worst singles have got the worst peaks - #9 See The Day, #9 Cant Speak French, #7 Long Hot Summer. Bar TLK, which was a completely different and a TOTALLY bizzare situation. Surely one of THE BEST GA singles wont perform as their WORST chartswise, there's hardly any big releases in the next month and with a trick or two up their sleeve and the to-be flawless video, this will grab top 5 EASILY, maybe even top 3 or have similar success to 'Call The Shots'. I think people are looking to much at what happened with Britney's Circus, PCD's I Hate This Part etc when predicting this and imo from a completely inaccurate angle ..

Why is inaccurate to compare it to those two? This album has sold a lot more than those ones. The nearest thing to compare them to is P!nk. Both had huge lead singles and quickly sold 600k of their albums, then they released good second singles which could only manage one week in the top 10. It's early days, but the third singles for both haven't done much. (but airplay hasn't really kicked in for either of them yet and GA don't even have a video)

No offense Aaron but that was hardly comprehensive to what I was saying and it looks to me you're also judging on the performances of recent pop acts and their 2nd/3rd singles .. The music industry and GA sales aren't THAT predictable and basically ''Untouchable'' can go top 3/5/10/15 it just depends on the promo and public response (which has always been reliable) and with the great song that it is, it shouldn't have any trouble getting a decent peak ..

I agree. Pink is a good comparison. Untouchable and Please Don't Leave Me are both subtle and not really in your face. I think they should get good airplay but I can't see them doing much on downloads, especially with their album sales. I think both will probably get top 20 and boost the album for a bit but that's it.
