Finally starting my listening now. Here Stadning & Ego are absouletly amazing in full.

after listening to the album, why the hell did Forever Is Over get lead single status, its pretty crap compared to the rest.

10 Forever Is Over – Unlike most of you I still love this song. Of the six singles to date, its my third favourite. Obviously not the best song off the album but hey it cant be that bad, since its going to get them their highest peaking song that wasn’t for charity.

 

9 Here Standing – Sounded pretty strong from the clip we’d heard but my god, its just amazing in full. Wouldn’t mind it being a single at all, I can see it doing very well.

 

10 Ego – I’ll be honest here, I was expecting something amazing here. And that’s what I got. 2nd single. 2nd single. 2nd single.

 

8.5 No One – Not as strong as the first three though it sounds a lot better in full than it did from the clip. Nice album track which should be left at that.

 

10 One Shot – OMG. That was heaven.

 

10 Wordshaker – I think this may be my favourite Saturdays song of all time. Wooow.

 

7 Denial – Oh. Definatly the weakest we’ve had so far. A good song, theres no denying but you know, not a very strong song.

 

8 Open Up – I suppose with the songs that weren’t on the megamix the initial scores will be lower and I think this will turn out to be a grower here.

 

9 Lose Control – Now this is more like it! Fabolous!

 

9 Not Good Enough – I really don’t think this should be on the album. It’s a great song, but its an old song.

 

7 Deeper – Same as Open Up. I can see myself liking this a lot more after a few more listens. It’s a really cute little song though.

 

8 2am – I though I might love this from the clip and from the first 30 seconds or so but it doesn’t go anywhere. Filler basically.

 

Giving the album an average of 8.8

Impressive considering this is the first time I’ve heard most of them in full I guess. A fantastic album with several songs I can see myself growing to love. Is it stronger than Chasing Lights? I don’t know. Time will tell.

Same for me actually, it doesnt bother me too much since its out in 3 days and it doesnt really bother me that much waiting.

I adored Chasing Lights and thought it was much better than their counterparts (Doll Domination, Out Of Control, Catfights & Spotlight), but this is a great album. Natural progression at it's best! :D

for me only Forever Is Over and Not Good Enough are weak songs. The rest is pretty good :)

I hope they release Lose Control, so catchy :D

Forever Is Over - I instantly loved this track. Unlike most people here, I am still really enjoying it. 9/10

Here Standing - One word, brilliant! Vanessa's vocals are epic at the end. I'm hoping this will be the 'Issues' of this era. 10/10

Ego - I love it! This must be released as a single. 10/10

No One - This is a good track but there are better on the album. 7/10

One Shot - Easily my favourite track on the album. This is the one track that must get a release. On tour it was amazing, but the studio version is epic! 10/10

Wordshaker - My second favourite track. I like the new sound of the studio version, although on tour it was great. 10/10

Denial - A good track, but like No One, there are better. I'm hoping it will grow on me more after a few more listens. 8/10

Open Up - You can see that Mollie's voice has improved a lot on this track. 8/10

Lose Control - Love it! It's tied my second favourite track on the album. Would love for it to be a single, but I'm not sure it would do well. 10/10

Not Good Enough - This is a good track, but I don't think I will listen to it that much. 7/10

Deeper - This song seems to remind me of S Club 7 for some reason! :lol: A really nice song. 9/10

2 a.m. - Like Ethereal, this is the Why Me Why Now of the album for me. Really great vocals on this. 9/10

 

This album is amazing. They have improved a lot since Chasing Lights. 9/10

Well after listening to the album several times, heres my thoughts:

 

08.5 Forever Is Over - So glad this looks set to do well, a nice (if pointless) change in direction, their 2nd best single to date

07.0 Here Standing - Very much like a weaker version of 'No Air', its not bad just builds up to being a big danceypop song but never gets there

08.0 Ego - Somehow this sounds much slower than on the Megamix, still would be a good single choice, the 1 minute clip summed up the whole song alrwady though

06.5 No One - Found this much to bland on first listen, its growing slowly but still just a filler really

09.0 One Shot - The chorus didnt need to go on so long but its soo catchy and fun, really addictive must be a single

09.0 Wordshaker - Great song this, another MUST be single, chorus sticks in your heard

07.0 Denial - This sounds like it was made in 2001, very nice chorus, verses are a bit bland though

09.5 Open Up - One of my favourites, sounds like a lost Max Martin/Dr Luke production, LOVE the dancey synths from 2:30 onwards

08.0 Lose Control - This verges on being much to cheesy for me, the chorus is impossible to get out of your head though

09.5 Not Good Enough - My favourite of the album actually, the perfect type of pop ballad which i instantly love, great vocals, slightly Ryan Tedder meets Stargate..

06.5 Deeper - A pleasant enough song but really nothing special

08.0 2 a.m. - This could be the second single? is it just me or does it sound SO christmassy, so cheesy, would be a perfect christmas single.

 

Overall: 08.0 - A better album than i was expecting actually, very cheesy in places but songs like 'Workshaker', 'Open Up' and 'Not Good Enough' are fantastic.

I love the entire album, Here Standing, Ego, Wordshaker and One Shot are screaming out to be singles!
